I've been to Burchfield Park numerous times with my family and scouting or youth groups. They have canoes and paddle boats as well as fishing gear available for rent. There is a small swimming/beach area, but it's not always open. The pavilions are almost never busy, and have fire pits as well as a woodpile to use. The disc golf course is nice. My daughter loves fishing from the pier here, and we have caught brown trout, rainbow trout, and catfish. It's not huge or amazing scenery-wise, just standard Michigan wildlife and forest to enjoy, but there are miles of trails. Enough that the local cross country teams even use it for practices on occasion.

We love visiting Burchfield in all seasons. Their Friday night moonlight cross country skiing is so much fun! You can rent skis if you need to, and then ski the lantern lit trails. In the warmer weather we enjoy biking the multi-skill level trails, and walking our dog there. Its a great park to explore!

I used to come here as a kid in the 70's and it was the place to be. It would be packed. Now that kids go more to Lake Lansing and Hawke Island, Burchfield seems to be forgotten. But if you don't like the crowds, this is the place to go. Clean, quiet, no crowds at all, pavilions, play ground and bring a picnic. Water is very clean too.

Visited Burchfield Park with my wife for the first time. Was impressed with the facilities and recreation options. There is water or boating. Rental of paddle boats and other boats are available. There are trails to walk and lots of picnic sites. There is a number area that can be reserved for groups. We will return soon.

What a huge natural park. It was very nice, lots of space with hiking, swimming, playgrounds, green space and trees. It was well maintained and a good place to relax.

One of my favorite locations to hike in the lansing area. Diverse landscape. Can hike 5 or 6 miles without having to repeat any of the trails.

Burchfield Park is a great place to go for some family fun. There is a swimming area with lifeguards, canoes and paddle boats for rent, and several nice picnic pavilions. There are grills near the pavilions making it a great place for a birthday party picnic or family reunion. There are also trails to walk or ride your bike on. Mosquitos can be a real problem in the wooded or shaded areas, so make sure to take your repellent with you.

A great park year round. The park has amazing trails, disc golf, picnic areas, swimming pond and playgrounds. During the winter the park also has a sledding and toboggan area.

This is a great park. Trails to walk or ride. Places to fish. And in winter cross country ski and ice skate.
