Most people in South-East Michigan don't know that this place exists. Until a couple years ago I had never heard of this place. I saw this museum featured on the Michigan Under the Radar PBS TV show and I knew that someday I should check this place out. I wish I hadn't waited so long because... WOW! This is the... More

The cars were beautifully displayed and variety not to be believed. We spent about 4 hours (including lunch) and it was time well spent. The drive off the beaten path was worth it. The grounds are massive and beautiful. Picnic benches around for lunches. My husband would have liked to have had some of the hoods open so that he... More

So happy we finally visited this beautiful treasure. In three hours we enjoyed a 1940s diner lunch and enjoyed the classiest display of autos in a variety of settings. Easy access, up close views, fun music and more. Muscle cars were a trip down memory lane. And so much history with simple signage and really interesting facts! Not really fun... More

We have been visiting the Gilmore for many years . It just keeps getting better and better. It is actually a collection of at least 7 different museums. Some of them brand specific like Franklin, Lincoln, Packard and Model A Ford (we are Lifetime members here). The cars are rotated so you see something different each time. There is an... More

The Gilmore Car Museum is the most beautiful car museum you will ever find. It has the first car ever made through to cars produced in the 1960s. There is lots of parking and easy access to the main building. The admission is $13 pp and worth every penny. Be sure to put a day aside to walk through each... More

My teenage son and I spent about three hours browsing the 350+ vintage cars in about ten buildings on a couple of acres. The cars are immaculately restored and maintained. The information about the cars is concise and historically interesting. Everyone should visit Gilmore at least once and, because a number of the cars are changed out, multiple times. On... More

My hubby & I visited the Gilmore Car Museum, we were amazed at all the cars and how they looked just like NEW!! You can spend a good day there. We were not impressed with the 50's café...the service was terrible, we waited way too long to get someone to wait on us. The food wasn't that great either. Over... More

Loved the cars the exhibits and the details presented. The layout was intriguing. What fun. Loved the Lincolns, the Cadillacs and the Duesenberg. There was a muscle car sow happening this day on the lawn.

Gilmore Auto Museum is actually a few different museums rolled into one. The museum is spread out 0ver an old farm in Hickory Groves and is laid out in multiple farm buildings. Half the joy of the museum is walking from building to building. The place is beautifully laid out and fun to walk. Within each building you find the... More
