Stopped in while taking the Tunnel of Trees drive. This was a very nice winery. We only wish that we knew they had a cafe there, we could have eaten there. However, we did sample and purchase their wines.
Look forward to our next visit.
Highly recommend

Visiting for a long weekend and decided to take the drive here from the Traverse City area. Fun for everyone. Food was delicious, donuts were amazing and they have beer and wine for the adults. Took a growler of cider home with us. The kids loved smashing pumpkins and the trout pond. Not too busy and able to stay away from crowds, very safe!

We love Pond Hill Farms and visit every time we’re in town. The food is excellent, kids love seeing the animals and the “gnome hunt” is super fun for the kids while also a great family nature walk. Highly recommended as a stop when you’re visiting the area!

My family saw their ad in the local magazine and it looked promising. We parked and were immediately drawn to the "squash rocket" next to the parking lot, where you can launch vegetables out into a field with massive slingshots. All was going great, until my young daughter saw sheep in the landing area of the squash. Sure enough, a sheep, roughly 50 yards out, got hit square in the back with a projectile squash. My daughter, who adores all animals, was upset. I asked one of the employees about the sheep and getting hit with flying vegetables. Question, "does it hurt the sheep". Answer, "the vegetables go way up in the air and land on their back, so it doesn't hurt them." She added, "if the sheep were bothered by it, they wouldn't be standing in the field." What?

Thank you for your feedback. The squash rocket is very popular and with much increased use plans have already been in the works to move the animals to a different field. The sheep do love to eat the veggies that are launched but it unfortunately makes them targets (both unintentionally and intentionally). They are actually being moved next week so this problem will be eliminated in short order. We're very sorry that your daughter was upset but this incident. Please assure her that the sheep is fine and will no doubt be running after potatoes this afternoon!

Many people told us to be sure and visit Pond Hill Farm when we were visiting the Tunnel of Trees so we went for lunch. The concept of a working farm, winery, brewery and farm to table restaurant sounded so inviting. My problem started when I ordered my lunch. I received the poorest excuse of a Club Sandwich that I have ever had. They were out of the special bread that was supposed to be served so the substituted with 2 wafer thin slices of sourdough (they must have been running out of this also). Add a few slices of turkey, one strip of bacon, lettuce and tomato and there you have it. This poor excuse for a club sandwich cost me $13.00. What a rip off.

I must admit that the beer was actually pretty good, at least the one that I tried (Pondhilsner).

My next mistake was to try a glass of the 2015 Barrel Aged Chardonnay. Without a doubt, this was absolutely the worst Chard that I have ever drank in my life. The tasting notes said "a hint of whiskey overtones." I would have been much better off ordering a watered down whiskey and water. This was their top of the line wine so I dared not try the others. In a word, it was dreadful.

After lunch we ventured out into the farm. Here we found a couple of goats running in a field and several chickens in a cage. You call this a farm? The only farm I could find was the field of squash and the pumpkin patch. I had personally had enough so I didn't venture any further with the other "attractions."

To say that I was ripped off at lunch doesn't begin to explain my trip to the Farm. They certainly won't ever be seeing me again. You can visit but don't drink the wine or order the club sandwhich!!!

We stopped for lunch at Pond Hill Farm and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cherry chicken salad wrap is delicious! The various local beers and local wines are available to enjoy with your meal or on their own. We felt very comfortable with the distance between tables and the contactless service. The farm has beautiful landscaping, with flowers everywhere, and we enjoyed watching the rooster and hen wandering around during lunch. This is a very enjoyable place to stop for a meal or a drink.

Highly successful but somewhat over-rated. Nice selection of pickled beans, carrots, etc. and other farm products, but check-out is separate from their other product lines, i.e. winery. Wine tasting is $10 for flight of 4, but no credit for purchasing bottles. Some wines OK, but nothing to write home about. Barista seemed to be doing multiple jobs and disappeared frequently.

Just a great place to take the entire family. We had a group of twelve with grandparents, parents and kids. All had a great time! Try the beer flights/tastings. Just a great classic fun farm. Food is also delicious!
