The planetarium has got to be my favorite. We went to the robot zoo this time. Not quite what I expected but the kids loved the atmosphere. Personally I would love to see more history here, like in regards to Egypt, Germany, and other exciting places that tends to draw larger crowds

We have gone to several exhibits over many years when our son was much younger. Always something fun to do. Lots of hands-on stuff for kids.

This eclectic museum is a charmer. It has historic, natural history, mechanical, glass and so many more exhibits. The Old Street of Grand Rapids was most striking. The carousel ride was amazing. This is kid and mature adult friendly. Make a special trip to enjoy this well assembled and displayed exhibit museum. A pure delight.

We intended to visit the Gerald Ford museum but it was closed for remodeling so we chose this instead, as we had driven from Kalamazoo. So glad we did. Lovely light-filled atrium, good variety of displays. The turn of the century main street was a highlight. We have seen the one at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry and... More

From what I remember, it's free. It has some good exhibits, but can be done in less than a day. Not bad for a stop.

My husband & I spent a beautiful afternoon with an enlightening array of Grand Rapids history and often easily forgotten culture. We were continually reminded of the Grand historic past of this incredible city along each and every hallway and corridor. The detailed displays and interactive venue's were intriguing as well as educational, each one belonging carefully to it's own time... More

We stayed a couple of nights in Grand Rapids during spring break to take our kids to the Marvel universe Live show. We visited the GR Public Museum because they had the large robotic animals exhibit. Our kids chose it over the children's museum, and we couldn't have been more happy with the place. the exhibits were very nice, and... More

We took 4 great grandchildren and it was good day of fun looking and interacting with many things for the kids. Riding the indoor carousel was a special as it came with the kids meal in the cafe. There was one very unhappy moment when we paid extra to see a show they were showing was for for families in... More

My son spent two hours in the robot zoo (I think it is supposed to take 15-20 minutes), he loved it so much. I enjoyed reading about the animals and my son enjoyed seeing how the animals work and trying out the centers himself. He tried to hang like a bat over and over again to get a better score.... More
