Robinette's has been a staple in the community for decades. It's always been my top choice for apples and cider. It was wonderful to see that they still have great fruit and bakery items even during a challenging pandemic. Long lines for donuts but these are fresh made and worth the wait. (My personal favorite is the seasonal pumpkin spice or cinnamon sugar varieties.)
Pies are also excellent here. Order early and pick up.
On their lunch menu, I tried the Cranberry Chicken Salad sandwich and it was incredible. I asked lots of questions about what apples are best for baking and was given great information on all of the varieties. This place was 'farm to table' before it became a cliche. I highly recommend a visit here. Next visit, I'll be looking at their wine selection.

***It was a real shame that such negative press was given due to a visit by a member of the Trump family recently. Personally, I find it nauseating that anyone would say such mean spirited things about the Robinette family or their business. This business is a West Michigan institution and should not be tarnished with such trash talk.***

This place is a local icon known for its pumpkin spice donuts and its wonderful apple cider. Don’t let the cost of the cider deter you. It’s more expensive than at the store probably twice as more but it is well worth it.
We’ve been going here for over 30 years. On November 18 22. We entered the store at about 11 am. When we walked in there was a lady walking away from the counter who turned and looked at us and then went upstairs. She was talking and laughing with another lady upstairs for over 15 minutes while we were waiting at the counter. I rang the bell for assistance and she came down the stairs, obviously annoyed, and she was extremely rude and said, “can I help you”, but said it in a very condescending and rude way. My family and I will never return to this place because of this.

This place doesn't disappoint. The baked goods are delectable, the fruit is always fresh and ripe (except for soft fruit like peaches and pears that need a day or so of time). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They also have fruit-based adult beverages in addition to the best cider you've ever had. They also have fun stuff for the family-a corn maze, outside seating.

Lovely family-run orchard (over a hundred years!) with fruit all year round: apples, peaches, cherries. They also have a very nice bakery (donuts!) and sandwich shop, winery and gift shop. The star is the fruit-so many apple varieties. The staff are great and very friendly.

In my endless quest for the perfect donut a friend suggested Robinette’s. It’s an apple orchard. They have a really neat gift shop and you can get cider and donuts. The donuts are really really good! The selection the day I went in wasn’t that great.... there were only 6 different flavors to chose from, but they were all INCREDIBLE. They were so fresh and they just melted in my mouth. The cider is good too.

The apple house and winery is a complex. It includes the winery, a general store kind of place which sells stuff and there is a seperate building which sell snacks, food items, and baked goods. In addition to that, there was a Halloween corn maze and a sign that indicated you could pick your own apples. With all those options, you guessed it, we headed straight to the wine tasting. There was a very personable young lady at the counter and her first words were, "I need to see your I.D." 50 years ago, this might have been flattering but today, at 75, you must be kidding. Long story short, she was not kidding and I had to hike a considerable distance back to the car to retrieve my wallet. No harm done, she was young enough not to understand "reasonable exceptions" and in all honesty, I probably needed the exercise. My bad. The wine tasting was a bargain. The cost was $5 per couple for 6 tastings each and they gave you the glass. They has a good selection of wine choices and we wound up buying 2 bottles. We retreated to the bakery where we purchased a monster bag of baked goods and 2 cups of cold cider. God bless America!!

Another fun stop on our afternoon wine/booze trail. Another fun stop, get some cider donuts if we come here, and don't forget the glasses, free tastings if you bring back the glass with you the next time.

Visit in July, or the beginning of August!

We dry camped/boondocked here for two nights in August and there were no lines no issues and still good (was previously frozen) cider and fresh hot donuts.

Our kids nine and under loved the slide and could have played there for hours. We met Mr and Mrs Robinette who are two very sweet people.

The wine tasting is awesome in the off season since there's no waiting and no pressure to move quickly.

Take a walk through the orchard it's an easy walk and the kids loved it.

We always stop here for lunch when in a Grand Rapids because the food is homemade. They make the best pies, especially fruit pies, that almost equal my mom's pies. The crust is especially good. They also have fresh cider donuts daily, sugared or un-sugared. Mmm good. Coffee, sweets, and of course, apples. Across the parking lot they sell gifts and wine. This is always a must stop when in Grand Rapids.
