If you are interested in architecture, especially Frank Loyd Wright, this is for you. I would strongly recommend that you watch the free movie before you take your free tour. You will get so much more out of your visit if you do.

We visited teh Meyer May House - a place we had not been despite living in the Grand Rapids area for nearly two decades - on our own "being a tourist in my hometown." We visited on a Sunday and were delighted at how well...More

Great price (Free) likewise a limted schedule. Interesting introduction video. However after 30 minutes of waiting my 10 year old wasn't able to handle the 60 minute tour following. So we had to leave. I wished the order was reversed and that the video was...More

Docent Ken made the house come alive with his knowledge of the house. The introductory film is very informative, the house is beautifully restored and well worth the time to enjoy. It’s free! Thanks to Steelcase.

Steelcase has preserved a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright home. It is one of the best restorations and maintained homes in his designs. Vern was a knowledgeable and wonderful guide. He provided a wealth of information to the visitors. Steelcase should be commended.

What's your Top 10 Must-Sees for Southwest Michigan? (12 Replies)

I've never been to Michigan and have made a huge list of things (with Trip Advisor's help) I'd like to see within 90 min. of Kalamazoo. My son said I need to narrow it down to my "Top 10" list which I'm finding it difficult to do. We'll have granddaughters, age 2 1/2, 5 and 7 with us. Things that I'd like to tour...More

March weekend getaway (9 Replies)
I'm planning an early March weekend getaway in Grand Rapids. Where is the better location to stay? Downtown or East Grand Rapids? We plan to visit the Ford museum, a brewery tour or two, Meijer Gardens, Meyer May house. Trying to figure out the lay of the land. Thanks in advance.

Stay downtown. The best is JW Marriot, first class hotel and within walking distance of many great restaurants and nightlife.
