The tour of this incredible home is not to be missed if you visit or live in Grand Rapids. It starts with a very interesting video of the restoration process. Try not to miss that. The tour that follows is something you'll never forget, even if you're not a Frank Lloyd Wright fiend. We were fortunate enough to get Lee... More

This is a beautiful house that is set back in Heritage Hill - an old neighborhood on the edge of downtown Grand Rapids. The guides are excellent, the tour groups small and therefore conducive for asking questions. Overall a great spot to visit for architecture lovers or anyone interested in the history of Grand Rapids. Takes aroune 1 to 1.5... More

This is an outstanding house to view with amazing stained glass and class Wright design. The stained glass living room is outstanding.

Wright's works may dot the Midwest, but this fine example of his work and the prairie style in general is ours, right in Grand Rapids. Beautifully restored, it's a cultural and historical icon of West Michigan.

How terrific that Steelcase makes this available to visitors for free. And if you're lucky enough to be here for a reception or dinner, you are able to take your glass with you as you tour the house. I have been to Wright's Fallingwater in PA and it is very interesting to see the differences and similarities with this house.... More

Even though this house has been extensively rehabbed it is well worth seeing. The character of Wrights work is all there

My friends with whom I was traveling, and I are all lovers of FLW architecture; that he was a despicable person is another story. None the less, May House in Grand Rapids is a wonderfully-restored and beautiful example of Wright's genius. I have been to MANY FLW sites and May House, located in Grand Rapids' historic district should not be... More

This was my favorite site for a weekend exploring Grand Rapids. Built in 1908 and designed by Wright it has been painstakingly restored down to the upholstery and carpets, paint, etc. It takes 90 mins starting with a 30 min film on the restoration and then a docent led tour which is well done. You get to see everything except... More

We decided to stop in and tour the house while we were in the area. We have been to other Frank Lloyd Wright homes so it was a must. You start out in the house next door with a short movie showing the history of the house. Then you are sent over to the house with a tour guide. The... More
