Maybe I was spoiled by a visit to the Smithsonian just a few weeks earlier, but this museum offers some striking art but more so just mildly interesting and not so inspiring.

Check their website for free days. During the summer they have outdoor concerts with free museum entry those evenings. It is a nice place to bring out of town guests.

We went on a tuesday free admission day on accident. The art was interesting to the adults but not for young kids. Luckily there was an art activity for children on the lower floor. Plus puzzles and books for them to play with.
