Take the drive and enjoy some really good home cooking. From Biscuits and gravy to the Mexican breakfast entrée to the pancakes - all were very good. Will always come back when in the area.

I love Stokes. And the cafe is so good. Delicious and many items in the gift shop made in USA. YEAH.

The farm (outside) has lots of kids activities, from bouncy to wet to swings to bikes to trails and a scavenger hunt, so all of that makes the trip worthwhile. The store has lots of good tourist type foods and goodies, and we all found much to enjoy over lunch, with relatively quick and attentive service. The ice cream was also quite good.

Unfortunately I didn’t check the actual website before heading out here for breakfast. They’re closed for the rest of 2018 (at least)! We really enjoyed our time here last year and were looking forward to another great meal. Sad to see that they weren’t open 🙁 (I had to give a star rating so chose 3 out of 5 based on our past experience but taking into account the fact that they’re closed now)

A few miles East of South Haven, Michigan, (near Grand Junction) is the Homestead Farm Market and Restaurant. Check your map or GPS and enjoy a beautiful drive, fun location and great restaurant! The place is spotless (including the restrooms) and has a fairly large gift shop and farm market. However, the highlight for our "trip" was breakfast ! Wonderful pancakes with real maple syrup and perfectly cooked bacon! Plus, a savoury cup of coffee. Do try this location...!!!!!

I stopped by today to meet a friend and enjoy a light lunch. One sandwich, a hand and cheese panini sounded like the grilled cheese ham sandwich with caramelized onions. I had the panini with onions, my guest had the panini. We waited about a half an hour for our sandwiches despite the restaurant emptying out. We arrived late for lunch (1:15), not early or middle of lunch (11 to 1). The pickle strips had a limp and tasteless flavor. I almost choked on the home made potato chips. The sandwich seemed small but we ate then left. The waitress was talking up the cactus chili. We tried a sample and it tasted good. I wish I would have ordered that instead of the sandwich. It would have been faster and more filling. That's all.

It is worth driving 9 miles off the main highway for this place! Lots of things for the family with kids to do ouside, farmstand and cute gift shop inside with tastings and unique items. AND....Hazel's Kitchen restaurant on the premises will not disappoint. The food and bakery was delicious as well as homemade fudge and Sherman's ice cream! Excellent stop in the area!

My wife decided we needed to go here today, it was a 49 minute drive, and I prayed the whole way it'd be worth the effort! Turns out this place is a hidden gem!

We went with our 5 year old daughter, and we'll be going back soon with our 7 year old son as well (he was in school). While we were there on a Friday morning/afternoon they didn't have the bounce pad, wagon rides, or cow trailer going, but it wasn't a big loss to us, because there's so much more to do or see!

We played the Duck Race dozens of times, took the nature walk, and did the scavenger hunt (my daughter won a donut), then assayed for shells and arrow heads!

Hazel's Kitchen is a true country treat. I opted for the pulled pork platter with fries, I had to tell the waitress it was better than the pulled pork I had at Terry Black's in Austin, TX last summer. You could taste the smoke on the meat and it was so tender it was ridiculous, best part is the homemade BBQ sauce is served on the side, so you can enjoy the meat as well as the sauce and not overpower either. My wife had the half veggie wrap and cheesy asparagus soup, both of which she enjoyed immensely. My daughter had grilled cheese and applesauce which got a hearty thumbs up!

The store is great with just enough selection and plenty of room to move around. I'll be looking forward to going on a weekend for the wine and beer tastings. I'd also like to try their Wine & Unwind, yoga in the orchard with wine tastings and a lunch.

All in all of you're in the are whether it's visiting South Haven, or live in Kalamazoo/Van Buren area take the trip, it's worth it!
