Fascinating museum - really enjoyed the well curated mixture of displays which include history and local artefacts from Grand Haven’s past. The top floor has an exhibition which changes each year and when we visited it was a very interesting collection of fashion through the ages. Well worth a visit.

Well worth and hour or so break from shopping to visit this free museum. interesting tour of how local Ojibwa people lived as well as early voyageurs and example of local trading posts. Has a four part section of a turn of century Victorian home complete with interesting description of calling card protocol.

The permanent exhibit is located on the first floor of the Museum. Our grandchildren love to visit all the exhibits, but their favorite is a replica of a general store from the 1800's that was located in downtown Grand Haven. They love to pretend to "shop" for fresh produce and cheese and look at the enlarged original black and white photos. They also love to play checkers at the wooden table in the store.

Great spot for a rainy day or if you need a break from the sun. Well done exhibits of local history including Native Americans and early fur traders. Also includes items from the early days of Grand Haven. Very interesting!

The museum is just packed with artifacts that are interesting. We are from the east side of the state and this was a great place to learn about the west side. My teenage kids actually walked out telling me something they found and learned. Take a couple minutes out of your day and visit.

We happened across the museum while shopping on a cold rainy day. Well worth the trip. Nicely laid out and very informative. They created several buildings from different areas and time periods from the local area. A nice break from shopping and right in the middle of town.

Our visit to the museum was a great stop on a chilly day. We decided to do some shopping and browsing. The museum was a great FREE thing to do to learn a little more about this beautiful town.

We went on a Saturday during Coast Guard Week. The town itself was a buzz and very nice to visit. This museum was a fun self guided tour and free. I was very surprised with the quality of the displays, being a small town free museum. If you are in the area, I recommend you visit.
