Lake Michigan beaches are some of the most beautiful beaches in our country! With that being said, Grand Haven just isn't a favorite for us, unless we are planning on just watching the sunset and going down to the fountains. The beach is smaller and...More

Grand Haven State Park is a decent Beach that's a great place to while away a few hours sunbathing. Nothing here is mind blowing but its a nice place to spend a few hours. In peak season you have to pay for parking though.

We spent Labor Day weekend in Grand Haven (rented a great house in VRBO (ID#3495870). Enjoyed some perfect waves and sunsets. Volleyball nets available, as well. Beautiful beach and we can't wait to go back.

The state park fee is $9 for the day unless you bought the state park pass with your license plate renewal for Michigan. Parking within is no charge. There is limited parking on the street.
