State Park so you will need to purchase a day pass or annual for admission.
This will be in 2 parts.
First, day use park, open May thru October (fee) same as camping.
Grand Haven State Park is a decent Beach that's a great place to while away a few hours sunbathing. Nothing here is mind blowing but its a nice place to spend a few hours.In peak season you have to pay for parking though.

We spent Labor Day weekend in Grand Haven (rented a great house in VRBO (ID#3495870). Enjoyed some perfect waves and sunsets. Volleyball nets available, as well. Beautiful beach and we can't wait to go back.
