We've been here many times over the years. Always enjoy a visit to this small convenience/grocery store, gift shop, deli, and cool little post office. Very popular stop for travelers and locals alike. A definite stop on your M-119 scenic drive. They have fabulous potpies, pies, cookies and deli sandwiches. Decent prices. The small souvenirs offered are cute, though somewhat... More

This place brings back many memories for me as I lived only a few miles away while growing up. During the school year I rode the school bus which passed this store twice each morning as the bus would turn around just north of this store. Our driver would often stop here and allow two or three of the older... More

Hands down. Best cookies I have ever had. I want one right now, and every day for the rest of my life...and I want the recipe....tattooed on my forearm so I can read it and add ingredients to the Kitchen Aid at the same time. OMG - pure delight. Word of caution. Know how to get back to civilization before... More

I was looking forward to a cute little grocery store, and I got a dirty overpriced gift shop. We arrived around 3pm on a Sunday, and they were sold out of their famous pot pies, which I am kinda glad about since the place just didn't seem all that hygienic. They had a dog walking around, and there was a... More

Homemade pies with lil hearts in them . I meant to try the world famous pot pies . Though wasn't that dedicated to taking one home and cooking it . They looked awesome though . They serve hot ones on sundays I guess. Very nice staff and clean and nice place .

We had heard good things about this little waystop along the Tunnel of Trees, so we made it a point to stop by the 3 stores there. We shopped the gift shop and furniture store, then stopped in to the general store to see if we could get some pot pies to take home with us. It was about 11:30... More

What an awesome drive. The road is a bit narrow but it was beautiful. Stopped a Pond Hill Farm on the way down. it was fun and a lot to see and do.

Who would of thought we would of found fresh backed gluten free cookies in this out of the way general store. Loved the lady behind the counter. We stopped here on our drive through the tunnel of trees from Petoskey to Cross Village. We stopped for pie after reading the reviews about how delicioius they are. I had hoped for smaller individual pies, we didn't need a whole big one. It's a quaint little store (including post office boxes) and I did buy a bottle opener key... More
