Staying at Homestead in a condo on Lake Michigan and every visit I’ve wanted to rent a kayak to take out on lake but only looked as far as crystal river outfitters and they don’t allow Lake Michigan rentals. This year I got smarter and found All About Water last minute on July 3rd. He delivered a kayak on the 4th last minute and was very friendly and accommodating. I mentioned to them that online said they were booked for multi-day rentals and I was interested in keeping it for two days. He texted back a few hours later to tell me to keep it an extra day on them and to enjoy the Fourth of July. I will only rent from them on future trips and you should too!

Thank you nancysusan, Shhh. Don't tell about the extra day on us. That was an unusual situation. ;) Have a wonderful day. We will look forward to seeing you again. Jeff

We had a blast tandem kayaking the Crystal River. The entire process was seamless from drop-off to pickup, and the guys were so nice and friendly. My only suggestion is that if you are going to "shoot the tube", make sure EVERYTHING you don't want to lose is strapped down or tied up in your wet bag - our shooting was unsuccessful, but still fun.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the gear was in great shape (much nicer gear than their competitors). My only issue with this trip is that it is only half the distance of what I had done on the crystal river in the past. We made the best of it though, stopping many times, and getting what we wanted out of this trip. I would definitely rent from them again.

Thank you filbert78! I'm glad you had a great time. We may be able to provide the longer trip with approval from several governmental entities. Fingers are crossed. Jeff

We paid online a month in advance for kayak rentals for 6 people. We showed up and the building was an unoccupied mess and no one was there. After calling and emailing and waiting nearly 20 minutes we left and found another place that had kayaks available. This place is a scam. They took my money and have not responded to my emails requesting a refund. No one answers when you call and the voicemail box is always full. I would most definitely not recommend All About Waters. This place is a scam.

We rented kayaks from them for the trip down crustal river.
Excellent.
Safety standards were high, and the person (Mike) working there was very careful in ensuring that the oars etc had been washed down between groups (and always had his mask on when he needed to talk with us).
The river itself is beautiful - clear water with beautiful forest on either side. Just the right length for us, and at our very relaxed pace we did it in just over 2 hours of rowing time.
Definitely recommend. Beautiful scenery combined with very professionally run outfit.

We booked the Crystal River kayaking for the four of us (Myself, Wife, 2 teenage daughters). We had two tandem kayaks.
The location is great, staff were awesome, very friendly, easy going and professional. Everything was clean, with good preparation in the shuttle bus.
Instruction was quick and easy although the Crystal River is not challenging at all and you are able to take your time and have fun.
Highly recommended!

Our family of four had a fantastic experience kayaking down the Crystal River. The guys at All About Water were so friendly and helpful. I made our reservation online on my phone on our way there, and the guides greeted us warmly as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. We came during the pandemic, and they all wore masks outside as well as in the van; they also made sure to observe and enforce social distancing. I appreciated all of this. They made everything about our experience so easy and fun. Our teenage sons had been kayaking before, but my husband and I had not. Even for absolute beginners, this river is super easy and safe. It was beautiful and clear - a relaxing and enjoyable way to spend part of our afternoon. Ending the route with shooting the tube was a total blast. My only regret is that we weren’t in town long enough to come back and do the guided tour on Lake Michigan. Next time!

My fiancé and I visited the TC area and wanted to spend some time out on the water. We found all about water while driving through Glen Arbor area, and we’re so glad we did! We had a wonderful time drifting down the Crystal River! Very relaxing and beautiful. The staff was extremely welcoming! We’d do this again when we come back but would perhaps plan a bit further in advance to try the kayak trip out on Lake Michigan!
Thanks for the wonderful afternoon!

Easy sign up, competitive pricing and friendly employees. From the moment we parked our van to the time we were on the river after a quick tutorial was :15-20 minutes, at the most.
Great way to see the area from the inside out, so to speak. Much of the river appeared to be 2 feet deep or less and 3 feet at the most.
We ended right as predicted at 1.5 hours after heading under the road in the left culvert as instructed. It looks scary, but it's not. Just lean back and DO IT! You're through it in 5 seconds. Have fun!!

This was such an excellent experience! My daughter and I had such a relaxing, wonderful time. I couldn't have hoped for anything better. The experience was flawless from beginning to end. The staff was not only professional but so nice and caring...I feel like we made new friends. They took the time to care for every detail and then got us on the river quickly after we arrived. I was so very appreciative of the great pricing as well. If we had had the time, we would have booked multiple times during our vacation. We will definitely be back!

Hi NoZone G,
Yes, we have a paddle board. It can double as a sit on top kayak, too. It is 12.5' long. You can find it on our website as a Nalu 12.5. It rents for half a day for $50 and a full day for $75. That includes delivery/pick-up to local beaches or cottages, and all the gear you need. You can find more information on our website. (I'm not allowed to post the website here.)
Thank you,
Jeff
