Stormy Chinook operates from the Michigan fishing ports of Drummond Island, Port Austin / Grindstone, and Lexington on Lake Huron and Frankfort on Lake Michigan. The Stormy Chinook is a fully equipped 28 foot Albemarle Express, designed and outfitted with the latest technology for offshore fishing. Bring the entire family, beginner's welcome. Reasonable rates. You'll experience big game sportfishing for Chinook salmon, Coho salmon, Steelhead, Lake trout, Walleye, Whitefish and Atlantic salmon.

Captain dans the man with a great personality and great knowledge of the sport. He definitely went above and beyond to make sure everybody was safe and had a fun time making great memories on the stormy chinhook. It was my first time charter lake trout and salmon fishing and now I’m glad I was able to book Dan cause now he has my whole family hooked and wants to try to go again if we get time.

Left The dock about 5:30 in the morning , limited out on lake trout by 9:30. Captain Dan, is very experienced captain.

We had a great time. Captain Dan was an awesome guide no matter your experience level. It was my first time but my brother fishes a lot and we both had great fun. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

2nd time we have booked with Captain Dan aboard the Stormy Chinook. We went out of Grindstone/Port Austin again. To say the trip was anything short of amazing would be a lie. Safety is never an issue with Captain Dan. The hospitality, service, and knowledge that Captain Dan extendeds is the best on the Great Lakes.

We did an absolutely awesome fishing trip with Stormy Chinook out of Grindstone City, MI. We had a ton of fun, caught, our limit, and enjoyed a terrific meal at Captain Morgan's restaurant afterwards, using some of our freshly caught Lake trout. Captain Dan did an amazing job and gave us a trip we will always remember. The price was great and we will treasure the memories.

We fished with Captain Dan on June 20th 2018. We fished the afternoon in hopes of having calm seas. We took our family (2 adults, 4 young kids) and had a wonderful time. Dan treated us like family, put us on the fish and made us feel at home. There was never a worry about anything. Safety is paramount with Captain Dan and I liked that. He is by far and away the best captain on the great lakes. Patient, kind and compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. We caught tons of fish and made memories that we will never forget. Thanks Captain Dan for a wonderful day. See you next year!

Captain Dan is great! Beautiful boat lots of salmon! Had an awesome time - really nice guy and beautiful boat!
