My grandchildren and I went it was nice to see inside the house and all the old things inside. The worker was informed with the history and very friendly when the children were asking so many questions.

I took two elderly people (my parents!) to view the gardens yesterday. The docents/volunteers were very helpful, the gardens and sculptures were "social media worthy." Loved the zinnias, the rose garden, the butterflies, the huge trees, the vegetable garden, and more.

Of all the historic homes in Flint, Applewood is by far the finest. The history of the family, how it was built and how the family lived is very interesting. It is well worth a tour to learn about Flint's history then and now.
