Laser Floyd

The new laser isn't as bright as it used to be. Which is good...no sun glasses required now. Great show!

On a family trip to Flint, I did a little research and saw great reviews for the planetarium kids show (Accidental Astronauts), so we went. I'm glad we did. The staff is friendly, the planetarium was clean and the show was perfect for my 5 year old. Make sure you stay for the roller coaster show after the main feature.... More

The planetarium is impressive...state of the art facility. We had a group of 48 students and staff. They showed the show "Stars" narrated by Mark Hamil. It was very cool.

I know the planetarium has wonderful programs on a regular basis, but Monday, May 9, 2016 they went above and beyond. My friend and I went because we read that they would have telescopes with filters to view the transit of Mercury across the sun. Not many people took advantage so we were treated to personal service. The bus driver... More

Incredible films in super modern environment. Very comfortable reclining seats with masses of leg room. Really worth a visit for all age groups, don't pass this little treasure by. Very informative narrations. We will certainly be regulars.

This Planetarium just had a huge update and it is one of the finest in nation. It is educating and entertaining for family members of all ages. They often feature popular music laser shows.

We last visited the Longway Planetarium in Flint, MI when our children (now 38 & 40 yrs old, respectively) were young children. This time we took their children (our grandchildren, ages 8 & 10 yrs old). We weren't sure what to expect; Was it the same? Was it up-to-date? Would it be expensive? Would it use the old "star projector?"... More

It's been years since I had been to the Planetarium so when I went with my 6 year old grandson I wasn't expecting much. Since I had last gone, the Planetarium has spent money to renovate the facility and it looks great (clean and inviting). The seats were very comfortable. Watching my grandson when the dome turned and when the... More
