We stopped by in a very busy Saturday afternoon. Plenty of tables outdoors and indoors with people working on projects. Once inside we were approx you a man woh asked us if we had ever been to the Art Barn before. We stated we hadn’t and he explained how things worked. Ceramics, glass fusion, mosaics, beads for jewelry making. This place had it all. Wonderful experience. What a gem.

We had a great time. Plenty of projects to select from. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon. You can select painting, mosaic, wood, glass “melting”, beading projects (I’m sure I’m forgetting some). Everyone was helpful and the place is full of completed items for those of us who need visual examples.

We visited this amazing place for the day on our empty nester vacation. We created a mosaic mirror and a glass fusion outdoor tile together. Staff is super friendly, the owner is very accommodating and there are so many projects to choose from. A definite MUST to explore your artsy side and enjoy your inner child!

I assume the folks running it were the owners. They both talked down to us. We are novices and aren't going to know everything. They should expect that and not male us feel dumb.

It wasn't any better when we went to pick up our projects. They didn't greet us. Just said it's over there. When we asked about wrapping it to take home, we were on our own. Certainly we're capable of wrapping it ourselves. But it would've been nice for them to be engaging. I wouldn't go back again or recommend it to my friends.

Amazingly creative barn with lots of choices of crafts to work on. I think one should be at least mildly creative as there is very little direction. The owner is not that friendly in my opinion, however the fused glass project I made I love and will display in my home. Not for small children.

The Art Barn is an arts and crafts store, allowing for a mix of art projects to be completed. The sheer volume and variety of projects available can be a bit overwhelming- you can truly find almost anything too create. You can pic a ceramics, tile, glass or mosaic project, selecting your base, you colors and accessories then put them together. It's an enjoyably fun family, even my teenage daughter enjoyed it. It is a bit pricey if you're not careful and you do have to plan when to go, as some of the projects require you to pick them up the next day. The owners who run the place are extremely helpful and cheerful. It can be pretty packed and tight if the weather is bad. Overall, a really fun place to visit with kids aged from say 5-16 (if they like artsy stuff)

My girlfriend and I spent a wonderful afternoon at the Art Barn. We chose projects and got to work creating things just for fun! There is a wide variety of projects you can choose from - ceramics, mosaics, glass, bead work, etc. The staff is there to answer questions and set you off in the right direction, but then it is up to you! Other than it being incredibly hot, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We went to Michigan for a weekend trip and celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary and found this fun place. We both enjoying doing art stuff so this was up our alley. Take your time to figure out what you want to do. There is so many things to choose from, We decided to do a mosaic tile. You really get to find your inner artist and come up with your own design, Ours wasn't ready that day, but was ready the next day at noon, so it all worked out well. It can get pricey....glad I don't live cloase as I would be there daily!

Went here on a cloudy gray day with 4 kids ages 7 to 17. We were looking for a way to inspire their creativity, and I have to say that we found it! The barn is beautiful and exudes a positive, creative energy immediately upon entering. There are so many different possibilities to choose from, it takes several minutes to decide where you want to start. No previous experience was required for most of the activities. The kids decided to paint ceramics and the results were fantastic and they were so proud of their creations. My husband decided to paint a teapot and I made a mosaic plant stand.
There is an $8 studio fee per person and the prices for the projects are marked on the items. If you are doing a mosaic, the prices of the pieces are marked on the containers.
Tip: if you paint ceramics, they will not be ready immediately for pick up. If you are staying in the area, go here when you have a day or two left in your stay, so that you have time to pick them up. They can mail them to you, but if you can save on the mailing costs and see your finished masterpieces, so much the better!!
