About
The oldest course in the area features two distinct nines, a tree-lined mature front that opened in in 1915 and a wide-open back that opened in 1990 with water on seven holes. The 435-yard 18th is widely considered the toughest closing hole in the Upper Peninsula, with its elevated and undulating green. The par 71 course covers 5,974 yards from the white tees and 6,223 yards from the blue tees. An excellent test of golf also includes a clubhouse with food and bar, and excellent Friday fish-fry. A PGA professional is on staff. Easy to walk and carts are available.

We have golfed here once each of the last two years. It is a very friendly and well maintained course. It may not be the most challenging, but it is a pleasant place and does have a fair amount of sand and water to challenge you. The older gentleman who was working both times we arrived is delightful. He made sure to tell us that someone had been out that morning to blow the leaves off the greens. The woman who runs the bar and restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. Everything is well maintained. They are simply limited by the contours of the land upon which the course is built. It is quite flat, but the sand, water, and mature trees add to the challenge.
If it wasn't such a long drive I am sure we would golf there more often. The rates are fair and they have never been terribly busy as popular courses often are.
I am sure we will return again next summer.

Fun golf and dine deal, paid $60 for 2 people, 18 holes with a cart, got $25 back towards our meal -- which was awesome! Lake perch was lightly battered and deep fried, the best we've had locally. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. What more do you need?

I was on a motorcycle trip with my uncle and we rented clubs for 5$ a piece. We asked if they had a twilight deal since we were teeing off after 1830 and they didn't. The last hole we could hardly see because of the sun and when we made it back to the clubhouse to return clubs no one was there. The entrance is also very hard to find. There were some cool different aspect to the course.

Played this course in August 2012. A very good course to walk. 18-holes and 6,261 from the blues, 5,974 from the white and 5,311 yards from the red tees. Course in very good condition. Staff was friendly and helpful.
