I have been coming here for years. I love the hike and the views from the top are like no other. Come in the spring and see the baby eagles in their nests.

This is a 2 mile loop trail that has another .7 mile loop option. We got a late start when we arrived at the trailhead. Since we came from Interlochen, it was past 9am when we finally got out of the car. This is one of the most popular trails in the park, but it was not one of our... More

The steady climb over well maintained trails was worth the effort: the view was spectacular. Even the children were quiet as we took in the majesty of sand and lake.

You definetly don't want to go down to the water from here but views are great and not as well known as other overlooks. Not hard to get to and worth a short hike if not pressed for time,@20 min there,20 min back.Alot less congestion here and no lookout platforms here like at PSSH overlook #9.Much beter view of Lake... We hiked the whole loop, even though it was hot and humid. The changing environments were as interesting as the brochure promised! Definitely wear insect repellent if you go in the summer, and maybe pack a picnic lunch to eat on the point while taking in the spectacularly blue lake.

This 2.7 mile trail, has three different areas: maple-beech forest, high bluffs, and meadow. Signs posted not to descend the bluff to Lake Michigan because the dunes is becoming more fragile, but many did not adhere. The trail includes several steep hills, some quite steep. If you decide to hike the meadow trail, make sure you have bug spray as... More

It's about a mile hike, the last half uphill, but the view is really worth the effort. A vast panorama of Lake Michigan including both Manitou Islands

A wooded mildly-challenging walk will take you up to Pyramid Point. The views alone are worth it. If bringing children, they must be closely supervised, as there are very, very steep declines right down to Lake Michigan. There is NOT a wooden platform (like the Pierce Stocking area has). I could sit up there for hours just looking out onto... More
