The initial walk to the point isn't bad at all.... then you look to the right and go "oh there's another trail!" We hiked to the point dunes, up the dunes, around the top of the dunes and then back through the woods. The view...More

Getting to Pyramid Point can be slightly tricky...Once on the main road, you’ll be on a long stretch of road and you’ll pass up a few farms. Saw a few Sandhills cranes on the side of the road too. The trail is beautiful but steep....More

We hiked with a group of 10. The whole hike and viewing time took about 2 1/5 hours. My husband has issue with his ankle but was able to complete the hike without a problem. Go early to avoid the crowds.

This trail is great if you want to skip the stair stepper in the morning. The steep incline provides a great workout and the view is your reward!

Just outside of Sleeping Bear Dunes, and within the national park's jurisdiction, is this short hike. Most of the 0.6 mile walk is shaded from the parking lot to the point lookout. A longer (less than 3 miles) hike is an option if you want...More

Not sure about dogs, but would assume, if they are on a leash would be OK. I can't imagine why they wouldn't be.

No vehicles are allowed. For those who cannot hike, there are some beautiful overlooks on the Pierce Stocking Drive, which is near the town of Glen Arbor.
