We started off climbing to the top of the dune from the parking lot, only to find it continued on and on and on. We finally got to a point where we could see the lake and then walked back to the car. It was...More

Its about 1 3/4 miles out and then the same back (3.5 round trip) through the sand with the elevation changes. There are 27 marker signs. Going out to about #7 you can begin to see the water. Pack water if going.

Bring water, barefoot is best. Gorgeous views, worth our 10 hour trip to get there. Be prepared to hike hills.
