Yes, this museum is different. But it is amazing. Keep your mind open and you will come away with having had a thought-provoking experience. You may not like everything on exhibit, sure. That does not mean it does not have value. If visiting with children,...More

This museum seems totally out of place on MSU's gorgeous campus. The art inside is funky and weird, the building looks like it just dropped from outer space. I know MSU got a ton of money to do this, but wow does it stick out...More

The museum looks so big from the outside but is rather small when you go in and see the exhibits. The video exhibit they have now has gotten some good press and the building is really unusual. Very nice but somewhat clueless staff. They should...More

Yes, it is an extremely modern building-as required by M/M Broad and the architect, Zaha Hadid. In a better setting, this building would be magnificent, but set in the 'classic' part of the MSU campus, it is jarringly out of place and there is no...More

This museum has the strangest exterior you will see; looks like a crashed space ship. There are interesting internal spaces and some good exhibits. But during my visit, it seemed like the exhibits focused on either weird stuff or art that was sensationalist. But maybe...More

Contemporary arts museum well worth a visit if you're into museums. Cool exhibitions and a impressive building, right by MSU campus.

It is an interesting museum to say the least. The exhibits are very unique and the ones we saw were disturbing. They had a sign warning of this, but of course that made me want to view the exhibit. It was an Asian exhibit and...More

This museum's architecture makes it a piece of sculpture, like an alien spaceship that's landed. There are teeth like appendages making the entry window look like a gaping maw. It's an easy stroll around this non square oddly angled metal armored "thing" on the outside,...More

This is not the biggest museum but it is well worth the visit. There are guided tours. I listened in for a few minutes. Overall, you could look through this museum in an hour or so. It was free, which was nice. I would not...More

Just visiting this contemporary building is worth the visit, a striking building. It is the art museum of Michigan State University. They house both contemporary exhibits and historic collections and the exhibits are ever changing. Although not huge, it is built in a way that...More

It is free. There is a donation box for if you would like to make a contribution, but they don't force you to make a contribution. Being a student with no money - I didn't.
