We have been here a few time and for different shows. Not the biggest and baddest planetarium I have ever been to, but it is a hidden gem on the MSU campus. The staff is very dedicated and enthusiastic, even when some of the presentations are slightly boring and drag. Also love that they have special sensory screenings for special needs families.

I love to take my children here for midweek homeschool showings. The presentations are interesting and informative. I would give five stars, however, their projector seems a little out dated? I am not a planetarium expert by any stretch...but I would enjoy this if it were a more crisp and vivid picture that was being projected on the dome. Totally worth it though.

Took my kids years ago and it was good. Recently took the grandkids to see the new upgrade and it's amazing. Very sharp stars. If I'm not mistaken, the seating was all new also. Well worth it to take the kids. Speaking of which, ticket prices are very reasonable for kids and adults. Public shows on Friday and Saturday evenings and two shows on Sunday afternoon. Well worth the trip to East Lansing (the planetarium is on the sprawling campus of Michigan State University).

Showed up at 1:30pm on a Friday and asked to purchase tickets for two adults. The clerk said 'no, unless you're with the school, it's only open to schools during the week'

So beware, if you're here during the week, and not affiliated with a school, this planetarium is off limits to folks interested in astronomy. Real bummer! Was so excited :(

Great place for kids to come.they also have a star update over the telephone to check out. They used to have music light shows here back in the day but someone almost burnt the place down during one and they never had another...shame lol

Nice little planetarium with a theater similar in size to most others. Movie that was played was from the early 90s when Pluto was still a planet. Host gave a nice after-show seminar about constellations, how to find them in the night sky, and their associated historical myths.

I have fond memories of this place. My father is a big astronomy buff and would take me and my brother here all the time growing up. The staff are always friendly, the shows are cute and informative. It's a pretty fantastic place for kids.

went here one night when my boyfriend and i were bored. enjoyed most of it but it was really corny, much better for kids.
the best part was before the show a old man with a telescope outside was showing everyone the moon and mars. very friendly people too!
