This large depot is worth a visit. It houses a model railroad, a lot of historical photos, and a small museum. It is right on a diamond with a reasonable number of freight trains passing by.

Had fun at the Depot. Always a pretty place to hang out and love the atmosphere. Have used it also, several times, to take the train to Chicago. Easy & never very crowded. Will use it in the future too.

The museum was small but quite nice. We lucked out and were able to see the club's model set up. Would have liked to be able to see the inside of the caboose.

We bussed to Durand with 50 men & women to tour the station and museum. We also had a quilt truck show for the ladies. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the history, the great photos and efforts of the staff.

The bbq is really great. Many choices and the prices are good. I usually get the switchman meal You get 2 side and 3 choices of meat. I usually get the quarter ribs, pulled pork and brisqet. You walk away full.

Hi Willie, just got this from ten days ago. A friend dropped me off at the station but I did see a lot with cars in it in front. Not sure there was a fee to park there as it didn't look guarded and it wasn't fenced in... More
