That's a tough one. I've never tried to stay there. I'm pretty much a local fan. From what I hear, the motels/hotels around the Dream Cruise, are booked for the next year or two. You might want to try hotels in the Novi or Northville area. Royal Oak and a lot of the other cities listed here area pretty closer to the Cruise. You can give that area a try, but that's where I believe is sold out. But it is closer. Novi is not.so far away and there are some nice hotels there. Try the one's listed here on TripAdvisor. The following have good ratings: Hampton Inn - Detroit / Novi at 14 Mile Road (Not in Detroit - in suburbs) or DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Novi Novi - Right at the freeway for access to the cruise I would just research TripAdvisor for hotels in these areas. Advise making reservations early. Provide time on the day to get there. As you get closer to the cruise, the freeway still travels well. Once you get on Woodward, it can be hard to move. Go early, try going in on 10 or 11 mile and when it gets crowded, try finding a spot to park. Some people are there the day before with their chairs, coolers and other party essentials. I hope I helped out with what you are seeking. Remember to be prepared for a day of GREAT AUTOMOBILES, A LOVING CROWD and SOME OF THE BEST AUTO MEMORIES YOU CAN HAVE! When you go, I know you will enjoy it, but be prepared for a lot of people. Estimates are always over a million people having a good time in a stretch of road that is 14 miles long. Most of the crowd will be between 12 and 14 Mile Rd as I've seen. Have fun, maybe we'll meet up, who knows.
