We visited the venue for the Jack White show in July, nice building and even opened the doors early for the crowd because of the rain.

I enjoyed the show as Jack White was amazing! But the downside was before the show I had to use the restrooms and my girlfriend remained on the General Admission floor and when I returned I was told I couldn't go back to the floor, confused I asked the security why that is? They informed me the floor was full... I was then quite frustrated by this and said I have tickets I shouldnt be refused and yet they wouldn't let me by.

The problem is when they opened they didn't check tickets to the floor therefore anyone with very high balcony tickets could stroll onto the floor with no questions asked and thisbis what frustrated me and this needs to be corrected by management immediately.

Finally I was able to get ahold of my girlfriend and she also had to leave the floor and we had to watch from one of the entrances to the floor. I would have left a much better rating if this had not happened, I doubt management even sees this or cares though.

We went to the "Voice Tour", June 15, 2014 and could not find helpful information for this place so I am going to try to be precise. Easy to get to off the expressway, there is no "fenced in parking" in the rear. Parking for $10.00 on corner lot to side of the Temple, also $20 parking kitty-corner across the street (not fenced but watched). We were wondering what was wrong with the space across the street - free and right in front so we parked there! Great choice. Concert started promptly at 7:30 and we arrived to park about 6:15pm and sat in car due to high winds until they opened the door. Since we were right in front of the building we could watch everything. It is an old time revolving door so slow getting in. We were there on a Tuesday night so I think some big name on the weekends may take a little bit longer. YES they serve beer & wine and soft drinks - beer $9.00 wine probably $6 or so, popcorn & small bags of chips & such too! The men's bathroom were on left as you entered the theater but the women's was downstairs - weird/creepy but fine. They have a lady who rips off paper towel and hands it to you so may be nice to give her a buck or so. I did not as I did not have any cash but thought it would be nice since she was sweet and I got free parking so I tipped the popcorn girl! They charged $10 to sit in the Voice chair for pictures - rip off to say the least. I felt very secure and staff was friendly. Seats were Great and concert was one of the best I had been to in a long time. Masonic Temple is georgous with the architect and seats were small so if your big you won't fit, big meaning 300plus??? I would ask. At the end everyone walked out together, our car was right there - very safe and was on the expressway in a matter of minutes. We wanted to eat dinner and did not want to travel far but wanted the Downtown feel. We pulled up at MGM Grand and was free valet (of course tip a few bucks when you leave to valet) and we walked right into the hotel and to the right was the casino. The casino had a number of restaurant's from $75 steak dinner at Wolfgang Pucks (also less expensive stuff) to Wolfgang Pucks pizzeria, to a couple of others. We went to "The Tap" and loved it - big TV's hockey stuff on the walls and food was great, fast and large portions. There you have it! I wish I would have known beforehand so I hope this was helpful. Don't let Detroit scare you as it is pretty ugly with the broken out windows & such but the graffiti gangs really are talented artists! Look at the good - Amen

Easily the worst venue in Detroit. I'll never understand why big name artists like Excision last night book shows here rather than somewhere like the Russel Industrial Center. The staff are on a power trip here always. The prices for pit are outrageous. The seating is horrendous unless you get there 2 hours before the show to wait in line. They couldn't even sell the show out because no1 wants to pay festival wristband prices for a pit or deal with the horrible seating. My friends and I generally avoid shows here but decided not to pass up this one. Place is wack AF. Plus if there was an emergency getting out of here would be impossible nothing but bottle necked small halls all leading to the same few exits.

Absolutely gorgeous venue with lots of great architecture and history. Unfortunately, we were there for a string quartet performance in the Crystal Ballroom that included the air conditioner/generator hum in the background. It was very distracting. I understand the need for temperature control on a hot summer evening but some upgrades may be needed.

The tours are a must. We did the basic $25.00 tour then did the $75.00 behind the scenes tour. Both were amazing and completely different. Would recommend both but do the $25.00 one first. The building is amazing and so beautiful. We had Rob there for both of our tours and he is very knowledgeable on all aspects of the history and building.

For the love of god get some fans. The heat
In there last night for Kruhangbin was unbearable, nearly sent me to the hospital and I’m sure it did send some.
Bands, don’t book here if you can avoid it. There is absolutely no ventilation and temps
In the venue exceed 100 degrees, easily.

This venue was pretty awful for seeing Heilung. The inside was extremely hot. Lines were crazy. Merch line had so many people in it that someone sent a scout to see what the line was for. They let people try on the merch and delayed concert entry. We had PIT SEATS and no place to sit. I had an injury and expected to have a seat. I got reinjured when someone fell back on me. We thought we would be seated due to buying tickets from a seating chart well in advance. I was so excited to see Heilung and now I think it would have been just as good to watch them on YOUTUBE. We drove 12 hrs plus to see them in the US. Disappointed. Staff in the theatre were not helpful. The concert seemed oversold.

We flew in for GRiZMAS, not worth it. By far the worst concert venue experience. Pretty sure they oversold seats, there were hundreds of people without anywhere to sit and security barking you needed to find a seat. Disgusting bathrooms, bad bar service and extremely small.

When ordering check out the seats; some have an obstructed view!
