Evil Dead
Sep 2019
Saw Evil Dead on opening night!!! It was interactive, funny, like the movies. Just fantastic!
Seating is wonderful intimate so every spot is great. Bar right outside for intermission.

Masterclass with Kacey Musgraves
Jun 2018 • Solo
I came here on a Tuesday afternoon for a Masterclass with Kacey Musgraves, which I heard about on 98.7 AMP Radio. When I heard about this event, I had to go! I’ve always loved learning how artists create their craft! And especially since the Masterclass is being held by one of the most critically acclaimed country artist at the moment! I parked on the street behind the hockey town cafe for $2. When I arrived, I stood in line and waited until the doors to the theatre open at 12pm. The theatre was small and intimate. The red chairs were quite comfortable. The theater was about one third full. I was expecting much more people. Probably because it took place at lunchtime during the week. The masterclass started with Kacey performing an acoustic rendition of Butterflies, which was so good! I was a few meters away from a star! Then, three other people were introduced who were involved in the behind-the-scenes of the music industry, two of which were Samantha Borenstein, Manager Regional Promotion of Columbia Nashville and Katie Dean, Senior Vice President of MCA. Listening to them talk about the music industry and abouw dreams were so inspiring! I loved the masterclass! And the venue was perfect for it too!

Junie B. Jones family show
Mar 2018 • Family
We took the grand kids to this community style theater to see Junie B. Jones. The size of this theater is just right for a community show. Entrance is through Hockey Town...so you can be inside while waiting for the theater to open. Try to sit in the center area for best view of the show.

Comfortable Venue
Jul 2017 • Couples
At the theatre today to see Mitch Albom's Hockey production. Very funny and entertaining, and this cozy venue was perfect for this play. We will look for other upcoming productions to see at this venue.

Fun and informal
Jul 2017 • Friends
One of the smaller theatres; the experience is intimate and casual. So, definitely no Broadway plays here. We would attend again. Production of Hockey The Musical was fast paced, entertaining. All in all a good experience

Intimate theater experience
Jun 2017 • Couples
The performance of Ernie was amazing bringing memories to life and a tear to the eye of even the toughest old man, or woman. There are no bad seats at the City Theatre as everyone is close to the stage. The only downside is the limited legroom between rows. We look forward to the next play, Hockey The Musical.

Small Venue all seats are good!!
Jan 2017 • Couples
I found Groupon tickets for the show Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus so we went on a Sunday afternoon show. The theater is next to the Fox and across from Comerica Park inside the Hockeytown Cafe ( you walk inside the cafe to get to the theater). The venue is small and all the seats are good but the seats are narrow and I wouldn't want to be a large person sitting in them!! You can park in the structure next door for $15. I totally enjoyed the show and the venue and would definitely go again!!

this was an amazing. very well done. a lot of good baseball info. the actors were amazing. The parking at the Fox is 15.00 and you have to have Cash. I think that is a bit weird. Especially this day and age.

The Fox Parking Structure is located next to City Theatre, between Woodward Avenue and Park Street. Barrier-free seating locations and restrooms are provided; please advise the box office of any special needs or seating requirements when ordering tickets.
