Watch a concert or movie in the summer, see the Christmas Tree go up and the Skate the rink in the Winter. Campus Martius is year round fun. Sink your toes into the beach with a tropical drink, or have hot chocolate and shop the...More

We visited on a weekday during lunch time. There were many people eating lunch at the tables. People were also reading, relaxing and some had their dogs walk through on leash. The area was pretty with trees and flowers. You could buy food and drinks...More

One of my favorite spots downtown. During winter they have the ice rink open and the beach bar during summer. They always have something going on like food trucks and concerts.

It was so much fun to sit in a chair and put you feet in the sand and eat our Water Ice kids with buckets and lots of umbrellas and beach chairs in the middle of the city.

This is a small but nice downtown park. In the winter there is a skating rink. A nice place to sit and relax.

When my family visited Detroit in January for the auto show we were tourists in the area too. My son skates with a team locally and we decided to go to the ice rink at Campus Martius Park for him to get in some skating...More

According to the locals, this park is a downtown gathering space, always with something to do. During this late winter visit, the remnants of a skating rink (larger than the one at Rockerfeller Centre so we were told!) could be seen. Hear that there will...More

We went when they opened with our two beginner skater kids. We had the ice pretty much to ourselves when we arrived, but after a couple of hours it filled up and wasn't as enjoyable due to most people on the ice being beginners. The...More

I would park in the Z Parking Garage. It's a few blocks away in another cool part of town. Next to The Belt (alley). Depending what time it is stop at the Skip in the ally for a frozen cocktail. The garage is an... More

There are no carriage rides in Campus Martius Park. During the week there are multiple food trucks and often have live music during the lunchtime hours. The Q-line now runs past the park as well.
