The Fillmore Detroit is a beautiful, historic venue located in the heart of Detroit's entertainment district. Originally opened in 1925 as a movie house, this elegant venue has been renovated to offer guests a unique concert and special event experience. As you walk through the grand lobby of The Fillmore Detroit you are embraced by the nostalgia of the original Fillmore chandeliers and the history they represent. Within the theatre, the 80-foot ceiling is flanked by the famous chandeliers and below you, a hardwood dance floor. As you walk down memory lane, catch a glimpse of the infamous rock poster wall featuring a small sampling of the endless artists who have graced this magnificent stage.

Recently attended a concert with seats at a table top in back of mezzanine. Been to other shows here and either stood in GA on the floor or reserved seats upstairs. Don't feel, like there is a bad seat in the house

On September 28, 2017, I attended a John Cleese and Monty Pyyhon and the Holy Grail event here. John Cleese and the movie were great, but poor decisions at this venue nearly ruined it. We paid over $100 each but the event appeared to have...More

Attended the AFI show with my wife. I have been to this venue in the past and absolutely love it! Security was a breeze and organized. Show was outstanding and will be back in the future.

The theatre is stunning. It holds about 3000 people and can be a little cramped. Every seat will have a great view and the sound quality is excellent. There is even a bar connecting to the theatre.

Went to see Dave Chapelle. Bit of a line outside and down the block but it moved very quickly. Security was tight and organized. It's a beautiful place, had great seats. Loge Row AA seats 1 and 2. Dave a funny.

I went to see burlesque performer Dita von Teese in February. Absolutely stunning theatre with beautiful chandeliers in the lobby. The metal detectors look frightening, but if you do what security tells you to do, you'll be alright. I was on the main floor standing,...More

Love this venue. Those tempted by " main floor" seating, don't be. The Mezannine is the place to be. We were Mez 4, front row, lots of leg room, nobody in front of us. Careful though, we were seats 4 and 5 and they were...More

I would take a taxi. I think it's too far of a walk. Besides, I wouldn't walk anywhere in Detroit. Sorry, just being honest.

We stayed at the Aloft, which is in the David Whitney building and about one block from the Fillmore. The hotel, as far as we were concerned, was just okay considering the price. It is, however, very convenient and there... More
