I wanted to take a group of 48 high school art students from West Michigan to see the murals in Eastern Market but had a lot of questions and was nervous about where a group this size would eat, use the bathrooms, see the best murals, how much time it would take, where we could have a coffee break, etc. I was stressing out! Luckily I found Linda and Feet on the Street tours. Linda was a great communicator and facilitator she listened to my needs and planned an amazing day for me and my students, she made all the contacts for me and set up everything perfectly so I could enjoy the trip and time with my students knowing that we were in the hands of a professional who had done this with many groups before. I would highly recommend getting hold of Linda she was friendly, organized and had the connections I didn't to plan the perfect day.

Linda Yellin and her assistant Ron are excellent guides and knowledgable historians regarding the sights, sounds and tastes of Detroit's iconic Eastern Market. We were treated to a "strolling" brunch from local vendor's specialities which included cheese, fruit, pizza, nuts and sweets-all delicious! We had the chance to meet some of the vendors, go behind the scenes of their establishments and viewed various colorful murals around the Market as we learned about their significance to the Detroit community. We also shopped in the unique stores that surround the place. Linda and Ron know just about EVERYONE at the Market and we were introduced to "the sausage king" from Corridor Sausage as well as the owner of Berts Jazz Bar , a bastion of jazz music and soul food at the Market. All and all a fantastic way to spend a few hours with friends and learn more about this hidden gem called Eastern Market.

Always looking for something new to do on visits to Detroit, and this tour didn't disappoint! We were a group of 4, combined with another group of 3, which was the perfect size to work our way through Detroit's Eastern Market and surrounding area.
Linda met us outside a local pizza restaurant where we enjoyed a slice, then proceeded to check out a bunch of the murals, meat pie & stuffed grapel eaf snacks at a little Mediterranean shop, through several of the sheds with more food along the way. The best part wasn't the eats (although we did enjoy those) - it was the history lesson, getting to meet some of the local vendors, and a behind-the-scenes look at Bert's Jazz club. Linda was entertaining and knowledgeable and funny. Highly recommend!

We spent three fabulous days touring Detroit with Becky, starting with the murals near the Eastern Market and ending with a tour of downtown Detroit and the Canal District. We got to see so much of what makes Detroit such a vibrant city. Art, music and architecture as well as great food. We heard stories about Detroit's music and food culture from people who have lived it. Could not have asked for more and am looking forward to a return visit!

We spent a wonderful morning with Linda Yellin exploring the Eastern market area. To say that she’s knowledgeable is an understatement- she literally knows everyone in the neighborhood. It was a joy to walk around and meet the locals with her as our guide. She had us laughing a lot, but there is also a poingency about the unique, hard-working people we met there and her unbridled enthusiasm for the community. I can’t recommend this tour enough. I will literally remember Linda and this experience for the rest of my life.

This was my second time on the Detroit Mural Tour with Becky, and I learned new things I did not know before! Both times were very enjoyable. We spent 1.5-2 hours walking through Eastern Market and the edge of the Market looking at the murals and learning about the artists and the significance of the murals. Becky is very knowledgeable about art, the history of Eastern Market, and the Detroit art and music scene!

Had a great food tour in the Eastern Market of Detroit. Linda Yellen was our tour guide and showed us a great time around Eastern Market. She took us to the local “mom and pop” food places which was fantastic, as we can find the popular establishments on our own. From local immigrant shops, farm fresh and homemade treats, to longtime Eastern Market favorites, it was delicious. Linda gave a history of the Eastern Market and the surrounding area telling us of the local events that shaped the market to what it is today. We spent a beautiful afternoon ( the weather cooperated ) touring the area and tasting the treats as the Market was rebounding from the past year of Covid lockdowns and friends and vendors warmly welcomed Linda back and were very warm and friendly to us.

We (family of five) were a part of Feet on the Street's private food tour of the Eastern Market. Linda was an excellent tour guide (it was easy to see how knowledgable she was of the area; many of the vendors had a nice relationship with her); she was very kind, enthusiastic, and fun! We also enjoyed hearing and learning more about what the area had to offer and what it's history was like. Each item that we got to try was very well protioned as well (it's as the tour says! Come hungry, leave happy (and we very much did!). Thank you Linda, for the fun experience :) we had a blast!

I thoroughly enjoyed the "Feet On The Street Tours" with Linda Yellin. She has so much energy and knowledge about the Eastern Market. Excuse-me. Let me back up. I didn't even feel like I was just in the Eastern Market. I felt like I was in many foreign countries around the world, trying a mixture of delectable food.

Thanks again, Linda, for making my Saturday such a beautiful and exciting one!

We spent 2 days in the Detroit area with Becky who was an awesome tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the area and planned some very unique experiences for us, including a perfume/cocktail tasting, looking at the areas murals, eating ethnic foods, a meet and greet with a radio host and a food critic, and a tour of the downtown area mansions. She was very professional, fun and interesting to spend time with. Highly recommend this great tour service!
