this place went downhill as soon as hollywood took ever. if you play slots do not come here. tightest slots in town which is on par for every hollywood casino i have played at. and they brought back smoking so it stinks in here really really bad. just like the other hollywood casinos i've been to they are just letting things get run down and don't really care about anything except for taking your money in the fastest matter possible. you won't win here trust me; go to mgm or motor city; much better options! also the poker room here is a joke. motor city is best for that and they'll give you free sandwhiches and drinks at motor city poker room.

Greektown does not honor the benefits of the customers tier. Also, it takes months before you gain the benefits of a tier, so go to another casino since they respect the customers time and business. I will not invest my time with Greektown casino since they do not respect my time or business

I have been going to this casino for a few years and this was the first time I left extremely disappointed and mad. We were there starting at 11 a.m. The casino decided that around 12 that it was a good time to empty the money boxes in the slots. So if you were playing a machine they made you get up so they could switch it out. This is very rude and unsatisfactory to someone that is there to have a good time. Also we were going to go out the one side entrance to get something to eat on the other side of the street, only to find out you can not go out that way. You are expected to go to the parking garage to go out. We will gladly take our business elsewhere from this day on.

Got yelled at for taking a photo of my girlfriend, apparently not allowed to take photos inside. Food choices are not very good in the casino, hotel room had a strange buzzing noise coming from a box attached to a outlet on the wall, was very annoying . Easy to get lost, lack of signs for the people mover etc.

The upgrades and renovations make the casino very appealing. It had been awhile since our last visit and we found the casino to be clean, the air fresh, and all the staff very friendly and accommodating. They offer a full compliment of table games and a very wide range of slot machines. There is something for all price levels of gamblers. If you wish to take a break from gambling I recommend the Pegasus Restaurant next door.. The Greek themed restaurant is a Detroit institution. Then for dessert just head across the street to the Astoria Pastry Shop. Your sweet tooth will be overwhelmed!

A terrible joke of a casino. if you bet more than pocket lint, you'll lose. We have been there a dozen times, and without fail we lose if we bet more than pocket change. Years ago (pre Covid), it was a a fun place. Now, throw your $$ down a sewer, and save the heartache. They are actively screwing over everybody (other than the penny betters), to recoup what they lost the last year.

Our experience at the hotel was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. A special thank you to Rhea for being awesome and for the upgrade. You made our special night even better.
The casino staff however was very rude. We tried to get something to drink from 2 bars and a waitress and they all had excuses not to serve us except the waitress that said im not working behind the bar but ill be back to take your order & never came back. (We weren't drunk either) We ended up taking our $ to MGM

Awesome service and food at Prism, The hotel and casino staff were very friendly and accommodating. Big selection of games and tables. They had $1k giveaways every hour and at midnight they gave away a new car. The hotel room was very clean and professional, great view. It had a frig, microwave, and coffee maker. Maybe this isn't a big deal to some, but it is to me. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back!

.I really like Greek town, they have nice slot machine selections, the music is very nice and the machine are not very tight. However, i do not like the smoking on the second floor. The kiosk are very close and functional. The beverage machines, bathrooms and floor areas are nice and clean

The success of Greektown Casino is probably what the elected officials of Detroit envisioned when voters approved the opening of 3 downtown casinos a few years ago. Greektown Casino is part of a happening neighborhood (known as "Greektown" itself) that has been on the rebound recently, and has encouraged suburbanites to come downtown for entertainment. Whereas MGM and MotorCity Casino stick out like sore thumbs in their areas, Greektown Casino blends in quite nicely with its surrounding environs. It is also located in an area serviced by mass transit, unlike the others; the People Mover system has a stop right next to the casino. For those who don't know, the People Mover system connects a few of the more important sites and hotels downtown together, with Greektown being a major stop. Greektown is a very visually appealing casino; you will see some of this if you park at the garage, as it is a little jaunt from the parking area to the actual casino entrance. You must walk outside --just for a minute-- to enter the casino from this parking area. Parking is free, but you must have your ticket validated in the casino through the week. Because Greektown is such a chic place to be seen, it seems that the more well-to-do Detroiters come here, and that is reflected in the table minimums.
Although there are $10 minimums some of the time, this casino is notorious for having $15 and up minimums for blackjack on the weekends and evenings. There are supposedly $5 craps tables at all times, but I have yet to see these. Roulette is $10 or $15 minimum, although I've seen $25 minimums for this game, too. Ouch! What Greektown does have going for it gaming-wise is the Detroit area's only live Poker Room. As might be expected, it can get pretty packed. My brother waited hours to get on a Hold 'Em table on a holiday weekend. Holiday or no, Greektown should consider expanding this room, as it has the monopoly on Poker in the area. Then again, maybe that monopoly is why Greektown doesn't feel compelled to to do anything about it. Texas Hold 'Em (Limit), Omaha, and Seven Card Stud seem to be the main offerings in this room. There are plenty of nickel slots in Greektown, as well as lots of video poker machines. In the final analysis, if money is simply no object for you, Greektown is the place to be. If, on the other hand, you are a more moderate bettor of table games, you go to MGM, MotorCity, or cross the border and head to Casino Windsor.
