Love coming down to the Riverfront now. Every year it gets longer as they fix up more of the pathway.

The fountain wasn't running on our June 2018 visit and there were fences everywhere with a lot of repair work going on, thus only 3 stars. There are still a few other statues to see as you move down to the riverwalk, but you could...More

This is a very nice plaza right on the Detroit River. Walk up the few steps from the river walk to explore the plaza. Right at the river there is an interesting statue commemorating Detroit's role in the Underground Railroad. There are displays telling the...More

Was here for the Movement festival so it was very busy and restricted access but its a nice large open park with a good layout and worth a day out on a sunny afternoon

The fountain wasn't on and the surrounding area looks neglected and a little scary if you are on your own. Not somewhere I'd care to visit but would love to see it rehabilitated or with an event going on.

It has been years since I had been to Hart Plaza and was a bit disappointed in how the fountain needs some work. It was not on when I visited and looks like it needs repair.

This used to be a focal point of downtown events during the warm months (ethnic festivals, Montreux-Detroit Jass Festival, concerts, etc.). That certainly tapered down over the last decade, but based on this last summer, things are again happening at Hart Plaza.

Come to downtown Detroit in the summer during festivals and free open-air concerts. Hart Plaza is the center of it all.
