Hart Plaza has an excellent location on the Detroit River. It has some interesting public art and historical markers. It is better, of course, in warm weather.

With a bitter, cold wind coming from Windsor we had the Plaza to ourselves as rain threatened ! Starting to show its age with uneven pavers & slightly unkempt area. Facilities locked up solid so had to find elsewhere but it is possibly more welcoming in the warmer months ?

I went there for the movement, so you may found 6 different stages, everything well located and even a place to chill during the day, i loved the fountain and it's good for huge events like that one..!

There are a lot of free concerts and festivals on the July weekends and sometimes in August. Name jazz artists and other and great food. A fund place to be.

Was staying in a hotel that looked over this thing for a week, it didn't operate once. Nor did I see many, if any, people hanging around it. Get a photo as you walk past, job done.

The park has great views and is located on the Detroit River. There are many wonderful structures with great historical significance. The area needs some rebuilding.

Hart Plaza was dedicated in 1976 to the memory of the late Sen. Philip Hart (1912-1976). It is home to many summer festivals, ranging from the Techno Festival during Memorial Day Weekend to the Jazz Festival during Labor Day weekend, and many festivals in between. There is a statue here dedicated during Detroit's Tricentennial in 2001 of Antoine Cadillac, founder... More

A labor day tradition Hart Plaza is a great venue for the world's largest, free Jazz Fest! An amazing line-up of world class musicians. Enjoy the breeze while strolling down the beautiful riverfront walkway designed by Isamu Noguchi and Shuji Sadao. Great to see people enjoying themselves and appreciating the living history of Detroit.

This is a great park for outdoor festivals and activities. We went here for the Jazz Fest which was a blast. The plaza has a signature water structure which is really nice and it is right on the water front. The breeze you can get from the water and the open area to sit and relax. A really nice place... Thoroughly enjoyed this year's Jazz Fest and the three performance venues right off Hart Plaza. And it was fantastic to see the FOUNTAIN fully restored in all its glory! A true Detroit gathering place.
