Nice part of Downtown Detroit

A nice part of downtown this piece of art has been in Detroit for many years now and always draws a large crowd of people. It's nice to get a splash of water when it is very hot

Hart Plaza is located along the riverfront. There are frequent activities, events, concerts. Great place to take a stroll and very easy to locate. All is walkable.

Hart Plaza is a hub of activity for festivals and events downtown, but it also offers a hint of history, reminding visitors of the use of the Detroit River for the Underground Railroad, helping salves escape the country to have freedom in Canada.

The Jazz coming from the Hart Plaza is so authentic and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our hotel is located across the street from this venue.

Some interesting pieces of architecture. The proximity of Canada and the escape of slaves across the river to freedom was something I had never thought about.

Hart Plaza hosts several annual festivals such as the Downtown Hoedown, Freedom Festival, Movement Electronic Music Festival and the Jazz Festival to name a few. Plenty of restrooms, lots of space for activities and booths and close to parking this waterfront location is a great place to hang out in the summer!

Hart Plaza is a little tired but an excellent location. A must see at the foot is the Underground Railroad sculpture and historic placement of Detroit/Windsor key to freeing slaves.. riverfront is gorgeous and walk is incredible

Visiting in the spring, the fountain wasn't running but there are a few different statues and plaques to take in some of the history of Detroit. There is also great views of the river and the GM building.

Been here many times when downtown near the Ren Cen. Nice place to go when there are events going on here, or just to enjoy the outdoors by the water. Walkable to area restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. Close access to the I-75 Freeway.
