I was inside the Guardian Building recently to look at the Pure Detroit store and see what they have. But honestly I couldn't help but notice the amazing artwork within the Guardian building. It's gorgeous. By the way the Pure Detroit store sucks! Way too expensive!!! It's worth going there to look at the amazing artwork the Guardian building has... More

Breathtaking! Detroit history with American Indian influence. You must see this. Stop in for a snack, lunch, coffee & a few pictures.

I only had a few hours in Detroit and this building was a must-see on my list. Beautiful architecture & design! I stopped in for a coffee & to grab some postcards at the Pure Detroit store, and just to look up at the beautiful ceilings in the main lobby! I wish there were daily tours offered, because I wasn't... More

Glad someone told me to walk out of my way to check out this lobby. Excellent. Incredible. I was in a rush and should have allowed time. Work it into your itinerary. Linger. PS_ first time I tried to get in, it was after 6. Make sure to go in daytime. And if you do not get out to Pewabic... More

What a surprise to see the downtown. The architecture is more than I ever expected. A great number of pre WW2 buildings either in great shape or under revival. This city is coming back to life. The Guardian is fantastic. Have a coffee in the lobby and just take in the tile and canvas ceiling. Then check out the area... More

The coolest building in Detroit. To start with it has the most bricks used to build the building, 1,500,000 -- or something like that - THAT is a lot of bricks! And then the interior just blows your mind. The art is amazing!

The location and coffee is amazing!! This is a snack kiosk inside a magnificent building. A place for regulars and visitors to "grab and go", or sit and enjoy the architecture. Coffee was great. Had a bagel but they had no way to warm or toast it, so it was so, so.

We went into building to look at architecture. You enter lobby area and main hall there are no other areas to access. The only on site information is a printed sheet given by receptionist apart from taking a few photos not much more of interest available or offered
