The QLine gives you an alternative for downtown transportation. I like to park by the Detroit Institute of Art ($7) and then buy a $3 all day QLine pass. Also use the People Mover ($.75 per ride) or use a Lime or Bird scooter and...More

We have an anniversary ritual to ride the People Mover. This time we added The Q-line. Because of their short range we feel that they are not public transportation but toys.

My sister (a native Detroiter) was visiting from out of town and so I took the opportunity to have our first rides on the Qline. We parked at a garage adjacent the Amtrak station (very reasonable rate) and road the trolley downtown. It was a...More

The Qline has stations every few blocks up and down Woodward Ave. You can buy your ticket with a credit card at a machine at every stop or buy your ticket on the train. It is $1.50 for 3 hr. Or $3.00 for all day....More

We took the Qline from the Amtrak station to Greektown area. Very convenient, very cheap. It was interesting, almost sight seeing. We will be taking this again!

Have not heard anything definitive, but I have found it to be unreliable at best. I think in time, we will all see the Qline as a lot of window dressing for an absence of real mass transit.
