message for Mikala re NYE (4 Replies)
Hi mikala In one post you mentioned watching the fireworks at the trots - where's a good spot? I was thinking of Burswood Park across the river - or is it Banks Reserve next to it? How crowded does it get? I'm not interested in the races or bands but would like to see the fireworks? Thanks heaps!

Hi Magray We usually sit right outside the fence near Nile Street/Nelson Ave, around where they intersect with Arden Street. You are right underneath, and quite frankly, I thought last years NYE fireworks at the trots were hugely better than the Aust Day ones!! There are plenty of people doing the same thing, but not horribly crowded, we got home pretty quickly last year. Enjoy! Mikala
