Watch the wildlife
Jun 2021 • Couples
Nice walks beside the lakes and there are two bird hides. You can take dogs but, they are restricted where they can go. There is a small free car park. There are no facilities on this site.

Peaceful Walking Area
Jul 2018 • Couples
Eventually found the small parking area before walking along well maintained pathways by the side of the lake. It was a quiet and peaceful walk with few fellow walkers. I recommend this for people wanting a walk in the countryside.

Peace and Tranquility;- and no entry fee!
May 2018 • Friends
I have reviewed this place before, and have just returned home (13/6/18) from my latest visit.
A glorious afternoon, with blue skies and cotton wool clouds, the vision as I stepped out of my car was stunning. The full extent of the beautiful blue lake, the island with a wealth of wildfowl and the border between car-park and lake a blaze of colour from the wild-flowers growing there.
I decided it would be a nice gesture to share what I was looking at!
Enjoy;- and visit!

A Good Place to Escape the Crowds
Nov 2017 • Friends
I visit this place often, it is quiet and peaceful with a wealth of birdlife. There is a decent sized car-park with a couple of picnic tables and no fee!!
It is easy-going under-foot with level paths, There are a few benches to sit and watch the birds on the water, I have seen many species of ducks and waders.
There is a purpose built all-weather hide with seating. Almost everywhere is accessible to wheel-chair users.
The only slight disappointment is that it is not a "circular" walk, you walk there and back along the same track.
Well worth a visit, it is a beautiful location.

Lovely easy walk with nature
Jul 2017 • Couples
This is somewhere we have walked on numerous occasions. It's only a short walk but well worth it at this time of year as the butterflies are abundant. We saw Commas, Red Admirals, Peacocks, Gatekeepers, Common Blue and Meadow Browns.
Not a lot on the lakes except for Canada Geese, Great Crested Grebes, Coots, Moore Hens, Terns, Swans. Still a lovely walk.
