Since you can not get over to the Copper Harbor Lighthouse to get a closer look at it, you will be seeing it by boat or from across Copper Harbor. We went to the Astor Shipwreck Park and got pictures of it. It was actually a really cool day for it as there was sea fog rolling into the harbor. It would be so thick you couldn't see the lighthouse at all and then clear up so you could see it fine, which made for some excellent photos. It is in an absolutely beautiful setting.

We didn't attempt to visit the lighthouse. It's no longer operational, and I think there may be occasional tours? But we enjoyed looking at it from our ferry and from an overlook above Copper Harbor. It's fairly small, but adds to the character of the harbor.

While at Fort Wilkins we walked across the highway to view the lighthouse. It is viewable from shore and is definitely a must see while in Copper Harbor.
