Very good exhibit
Sep 2016 • Friends
The Circle has really upped its presentations and outreach. The latest exhibit was Folklore of the Midwest featuring Paul Bunyan. I took a houseguest there and she loved it, too.

Interesting Display Area, Friendly Volunteers
Sep 2016 • Couples
A special exhibit centering on tales of Paul Bunyan was featured. Perhaps 6 or 7 artists had their takes on the subject shown. Very creative and artistic area and nicely affordable gist shop. Staff can direct you to local artists and galleries.

Great place to view local art without charge

Great gallery in Charlevoix, showcasing local talent. No charge to get in. Also stop by Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey.

An Arts Respite on a Hot Day
Sep 2015 • Couples
---2 adults, weekday afternoon. The Circle of Arts is located in the old library building, whose layout is spacious and on two floors. There is a gift gallery with an assortment of items (e.g., books, jewelry, t-shirts, cards) in an affordable price range.

---Observed several families with elementary school-age children as well as seniors visiting the Circle of Arts, which sponsors a youth camp in the summer and classes during the year.

---In September there was a large exhibit, "Up North State of Mind," of paintings in different mediums, which were easy to connect with. Also saw an exhibit of sculpted heads made of a Kellostone (locally developed material). The Charlevoix Circle of Arts has a few youtube videos such as the one from July 2015 (30 hats in 30 days), one from the Christmas Show 2014, one from a show in Feb 2015.

Many Awesome Artists
Sep 2014
This is a great little Artists Group with a nice display in a pretty little town on the Michigan coastline.

hats!
Jul 2015 • Family
photography upstairs was pretty, but the small (about 30 pieces) hat exhibit downstairs was worth the visit. The hats were beautifully displayed, with place of origin and explanation of why they were worn and by whom... very cool exhibit.

TALENT! TALENT! TALENT!
Dec 2014 • Couples
Look no further for classes offering talented programs. Truly a hidden treasure and was once our library in Charlevoix, but what I call a museum filled with amazing art along with a facility that host so many programs. Go check out the web site for info. My son just took drum lessons with Alex and its the real deal!

Small but wonderful!
Oct 2014 • Friends
The gallery is showing outsider art now and it is a great show. Better than I ever expected. The docent was a bit chatty but nice. And devoted to the place.

Check out their Todd Warner collection!
Oct 2014 • Couples
The highlight of this place was the Todd Warner collection of sculptures, jewelry and art installations. His sense of whimsy and humor along with his talent and originality had us oohing and aahing. Although the prices in this place are a bit steep.
