Always looking for local beer, we happened on this great location with a grassy, backyard seating area with a hilltop view. Outdoor games, fire pits and distanced seating. Staff was friendly and inviting. The Wobbly Pot IPA has a bright, hoppy flavor! Families with children as well as couples were enjoying the hospitality and pretty location.

There is a wide selection of great art at this gallery. The owner, Ray Bier, is very gracious and helpful. I am particularly fond of the work of batik artist Elizabeth Abeel.

This is a destination place for a visit to northwestern Michigan. A year ago we stopped along the road attracted to this converted schoolhouse. The art in the yard is wonderful, enthusiastic, fun. The gallery is filled with the art of very many talented artists including the 4 members of the Bier family. There is a workshop adjacent to the parking area which we visited on our first time. Around each corner, in each room there are causes for smiles. Inquire about a piece an hear a story about the artist AND their relation or history with this family. Wander at your leisure and never feel pressure to buy. Share a story and have an audience and get a story in return. Enjoy the view over the orchards to the west and relax. I can go on about this experience. Affordable art with a good family in and very nice environment.
Later in our visit we saw some of the son's artworks at a gallery in Charlevoix and were pleased to even have a tangential knowledge of the artist.. A real gem!!!

This place is impressive. An old school house transformed into an Art Gallery. I would say most of the items are more on the knick knack side of things then hang on your wall art. Now saying knick knacks I don't mean cheap crap. I mean extremely high quality pieces of free standing art! However such high quality mean $$$. There was an awesome hanging dragon on a swing that was only maybe 8" tall and it was $75, lol that about 50 over my budget. They had an amazing bench made of concrete, but looked like wood, for $2,000. Plus an super detailed metal bird bath for almost $800. Is the art worth it, of course that's in the eye of the beholder, I think it is.

Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? You betcha! Especially if I made a much better wage. Once again it is an outstanding collection art.

Interesting pieces of art showing lots of imagination! Have been stopping for years, originally buying a pair of iron "cravens" that watch over our property!!!

Fascinating artwork of all kinds. Some very unique pieces, including incredibly intricate woodwork and impressive metal sculptures. Allow plenty of time to appreciate this gallery, then visit the micro brewery next door.

A stroll through the Bier Gallery is a must-do for every trip to northern Michigan. I visited twice this summer! There are many great artists represented. Ray Bier is a wealth of knowledge and a great host. The brewery is a great addition. My friend and I enjoyed sitting outside with drinks and enjoying the beautiful view.

This gallery is fabulous. Features lots of artists. Plenty of quality work to choose from. Reasonably priced. Displayed beautifully. We bought 3 items. When you're driving down the road from Charlevoix on a Sunday morning and not expecting to find anything open this place comes up as a surprise. I made my hubby turn around and we are so glad we did. Seriously this gallery is great. Lots to choose from. Range of prices. Very friendly owners. I am so glad we stopped. Would definitely return!!

A friend and I recently stopped her to try the home made beverages since they have only been open a couple of months. When you turn in you go past the Gallery to the second drive on the left to arrive at a renovated old farmhouse made into a beautiful tasting room with abundant windows looking west you can see Beaver Island in Lake Michigan, and looking east your view looks out towards orchards and rolling hills.

We opted for the beer tasting with 4 pours for 10$ which is reasonable. Quite a variety to match anyone's taste from light to dark to fruity. The host/owner was most friendly and chatted with us since we chose to stand at the bar. There are bistro and regular tables if you want to sit. Corn hole outside for folks that like games.

Art is on display in a very relaxing atmosphere. We will certainly head back in the fall for the wine tasting. Yummo! Nice people, nice place, great beverages at a reasonable price.

Excellent range of local art run by a very knowledgeable and friendly owner. If you have time stop here and check the art and the brewery behind it!
