Copper World - as it’s name suggests - is a store dedicated to all things copper. There are tons of items from your home or personal life by local artists that have copper in them from key chains to art work to tea kettles, etc. Some of the non copper items are mass produced and made in China which is a bit of a disappointment. In the back of the store is an area where local fudge is made/sold. All in all a must stop for anyone in the area.

Copper World is a nice-sized shop on the corner of 5th and I believe Main in Calumet. We always find a parking space in front of the store or near. Family-run, we have been going here for years. The owner is well-versed in the traits of his wares, and we have found that they sell quality items and that what they tell us about their items holds to be true. Some items are pricey, but in this case you do get what you pay for. We bought two blankets for $100 each last visit, and like they told us, they were excellent and are our 'go to' blanket much of the time. I have paid $8 for a bar of hand-made hypoallergenic soap that was indeed the best I ever used and ended up buying about ten bars. If the price is a little high, we found it's for a reason. Walking from the main room, you enter their clothing room. There is always someone from the family in this room to tend to your questions and assist you (but not pushy). We have found many t-shirts we have never found anywhere else in the Upper Peninsula. Their clothing is of very good quality. We have never been unsatisfied with any thing we purchased there. The owner and his family are good, honest people and it's a pleasure to stop in and give them our business. They have a lot of local books, too.

The owner is always at the counter greeting visitors and talking about all the individual local artists that have their works in his shop. There are three stores, one with candy, one with clothing and one with gifts and unique locally made items and local books. There is plenty to choose from and the prices are reasonable. A great start to revitalizing the downtown area.

This is a nice gift shop, it is a gift shop. I bought a copper leaf for my Christmas tree. It is beautiful. They sell fudge and a large assortment of gifts, some really unique. I am not a big shopper, nor do I visit a lot of gift shops. The copper leaf caught my eye.

The owners of this now 3 connected store setup were very friendly and eager to share local information as well as information about the artisans that provide many of the locally made items within the store. Some unique Michigan items as well as jewelry and wood products made locally. There is a connected candy store that has outstanding salt water taffy and candies. All kinds of stuff to look through - fun shop.

I've been going to Copper World for, I don't know how long.. 20 years? Longer? The family-owned and run business is wonderful. The service is always wonderful and the large selection of artisan items they carry are unique and reasonably priced. Every summer my family vacations in the area and Copper World is the first store we go to. Beautiful copper items, ornaments, handmade soaps and candles, wind chimes, high quality sweat shirts, T-shirts, hoodies, jewelry, etc. Good prices on everything and a staff that is always willing to please.

This was a great stop while exploring the Keweenaw. The shop had many UP items across a wide range of categories: shirts, mugs, decor, jewelry, stickers, etc.

My all time favorite place to visit when in Calumet/Houghton area! I always buy a piece of art or copper for my wall. Best souvenir-candy shop around! Definitely worth the stop!
