Pulling into the park it's gorgeous with lots of pretty picnic areas. We skipped those and went to the beach. Arriving at 10am it was pretty dead. The first building was boarded up and didn't give a very "nice" feel to the area. The 2nd...More

The campground is nice but the sites are close together. The off season was great! Nice trails through the woods, easy access to the dunes.

How is the Rockhunting? Are there a lot of rocks, worth taking time to go there?

There are pebbles that wash up on shore but this isn't a rock-hunter's paradise. It's a beautiful beach & dunes to climb & sunsets to see. If you want rocks go father north to Petosky or the Apostle Islands.
