This is such a big state park with a lot of sand to enjoy. Climb the dunes, splash in the water, or simply lay and get a tan, this beach has it all. It gets many visitors from the tri-state area (MI, IN, IL) so...More
Nice Park on the banks of the Lake Michigan. Quiet with plenty of parking . Clean rest rooms in addition. We didn't do the hikes . It was a nice day & spent about 2 Hrs. Then it started raining & had to find shelter.
Very nice. Sand hills to climb, plenty of parking, plenty of people/trucks selling food.
Nice beach. Lots of families brought their house.

You can spend an entire day just hiking Warren Dunes. It's huge. If you're in the mood for more water, check out the newly built park at the estuary of the Galien River in New Buffalo. If you like forests, Warren Woods is a great preserve. It was used as the site for a movie about Tecumseh (remember the French and Indian Wars from school?) because it's one of the few places that look exactly as it looked in the 18th Century. It's dog-friendly, BTW.
