Our family visits Warren Dunes each summer. The water is always cold and the sand is always hot - just like it should be on Lake Michigan! Beautiful beach, fun dunes (Tower Hill) to climb. The last few summers there has been a huge water slide set up in the parking area. I believe it is $10 for 3 rides... More

We did enjoy our visit and being there on a Tuesday the place was pretty empty. The weather was great and we had a nice walk along the beach. They have a dog area which is nice for pets and their owners. Sand dunes were OK but not as great as some we have been to in other states. Not... More

This is a place to take the kids for them to burn off some energy. The beach is large and there is access to endless dune hiking.

My family tries to visit a couple new beaches each summer and this was our first trip to Warren Dunes. As always, Lake Michigan is breathtaking but the state park needs help. The restrooms were so dirty I refused go back in to change into dry clothes and drove two hours home in my bathing suit. The toilets were overflowing... More

Awful awful awful public facilities. I mean so awful there were baby diapers laying around. Wasps everywhere. Beach was fairly clean but in need of a good cleaning with one of those sand machines that gets all the plastic, bottle caps, cig butts, etc out of the sand. The way was nice and the dunes were fun. Not the same... More

We decided to climb the dunes and walk along the lakeshore. Since we did not have a State park pass, the daily rate was $11.00. The skies were overcast with rain over the lake. We went the lakeshore, walking down a ways before the loudspeaker came on urging us to take cover due to approaching storm. We sat in the... More

The DNR workers at this state park are totally unprofessional. We were treated like animals and were told to "shut up" by a worker. Our entire group was not harming anyone around us, yet we were looked down upon. As soon as the glorified lifeguard drove up towards us on his ATV, he asserted his dominance screaming "Do not mess... At the end of each summer our family of four drives over for a day at the beach and it never disappoints. :) Climbing up the dune and splashing in the water are the highlights.

My family and I always are on the lookout for new places for a quick weekend trip. This place was far from that, we looked for a spot to grill some food but the bees where everywhere. Also the park rangers always drove by checking everybody as if we had something to hide. The beach was gorgeous but the bathrooms... More
