Now we know what kind of drink a 'mead' is - a honey-wine product! My partner tried the ‘Razzmatazz’ still mead which is sweet and has a nice raspberry flavor. The hot mulled cider was made with local Riesling wine with spices. There was an interesting selection of beers and wine, too. We sat on the outside porch at a high-top barrel table with heat lamps on both sides of us. It was comfortable and we had a nice view of the igloos and the big red barn nearby. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. They described the drinks and the bee farm that is a part of the overall cellars. They followed the current safety protocols and were working hard to ensure we had a good experience. There was a food truck right next to the cellar building. We easily ordered sandwiches by phone and were able to enjoy a late lunch with our drinks at the table. We look forward to coming back!

One of our favorite places in the area. When ordering flights whatever we try we enjoy. If you like truffle fries they are terrific. Large order is plentiful. Great heated outdoor deck during shut down.

Something for everybody in your group. I tried a cider, beer and mead. I came specially for the mead and loved them. Got a few bottles to go and even some of the honey. They have a food truck and have lots of outdoor space.

My husband, toddler and I visited St. Ambrose a few days ago. The setting is just beautiful. They have a large green lawn with fruit trees here and there to provide shade. Tables are well spaced out. There is a flower garden with bee hives and various yard games. They have an awesome variety of meads and cysers (blends of mead and ciders). I’ve done a lot of wine and beer tasting but I don’t think I’ve ever even had the opportunity to do mead tasting. We were there for lunch on a Tuesday, and their only food option was pizza and fries but the pizzas were SO GOOD. The Angry Bee was our favorite. It is somehow infused with a little bit of honey and had that sweet and salty taste to it that is so good. There are port a potties for bathrooms with a hand washing station. Everything seemed very COVID safe.

What a grea venue to visit!!! We all ready love the St. Ambrose products so why not visit the brewery. The staff is very knowledge and courteous. They gladly answered all of our questions. Don't let the phrase "food truck" fool you. Their food is great and very reasonable!!! Compliments to the chef. Can't wait for the restaurant to open. Played a round of disk golf on the property to end the day. Thank you St. Ambrose for a great afternoon!!!
