A very pleasant surprise. We had passed Stover's numerous times, but decided to stop when we were hosting out-of-state guests. Impressed with the selection of fruit-based items and all were reasonably priced. The barn is not cluttered and very welcoming. In addition to the great selection of jams and pie fillings and more, there is an interesting array of wood carvings. Ask about the wood's history.

We found the person who waited on us friendly and knowledgeable. But you are free to roam without anyone monitoring your every move. We can highly recommend this for a stop that, in a way, represents much of the farming and gardening done in this area.

I wish we had more time this morning to pick our own fruit vs purchasing from the market, but the fruit and goods we purchased are very good and reasonably priced. Service was good and friendly with a smile. We plan to return hopefully in the fall for apple picking time!

Came for cherries and strawberries. The girls picked strawberries while my sister and I picked cherries.
We asked about the difference between the varied of cherries and the gal at the stand told us the difference and to taste the cherries from each tree because different trees can have different flavors and varying levels of sweetness.
We haven't come across this level of service in our U Pick experience yet. But let me tell you she was right and that knowledge is invaluable.

They have excellent fruit no matter if you are picking it yourself or if you want it already picked. Their trees and fields are well kept.
Prices are competitive and among the lowest in the area.

We called ahead and were told that peaches would be available for U-Pick. We drove 2 hours to get there, and when we got there were told they "changed it". When we asked why we were told they were ready, the lady at the barn said "if you don't like it then buy a farm and do it yourselves."

My husband and I were out for a leisurely drive and saw Stover's barntop. Pulling in, we felt very comfortable walking into the barn and strolling around looking at the wares. We decided to pick Michigan seedless grapes since my husband had never done anything like that before (I grew up in the country). Almost as fun as a an Easter egg hunt! Got grapes (tasted a few - yum!) and then bought those and some Red Haven peaches! The lady behind the counter was obviously very experienced and happily answered all of what she probably considered our "city folk" questions. The young man that checked us out was kind and very efficient at checking us out and didn't seem in the least disturbed when we added on a purchase of Honey Crisp applesauce after he had already given us the total cost of our purchase. Very accommodating. The peaches were pretty but hard when we got them but only 2 days in a bag and they were over-the-top awesome!

Stover's is a smaller operation than some of the better known value-added fruit farms in the area but it is well run with good quality fruit. The store is in a big red barn that is clear to see from the road and I recommend their jams and apple butter including the sugarless jams. At the store you can get clear directions to the place where you will pick your fruit which is a few hundred yards down the road on the other side. We went the end of July and the best fruit to pick this season were the blueberries which were ample and delicious. Great fun with the grandchildren and a blueberry pie they helped bake at the end.

Picked cherries at this Family ran farm… What a great experience! They had a golf cart that brought us out to the cherry trees that were extremely healthy looking and plentiful. The prices were very affordable and we were not stranded in the orchard for a long time like others. They had a cute hotdog and snack stand. Would definitely go back

We visit Stover's every summer as a part of our family vacation. We love picking our own fruit and Stover's is a great place to go with the kids. We have picked blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, and peaches. Everything is delicious and we love how it is kid friendly!

The people working there were patronizing and rude; especially the old lady. She can't seem to get over herself. Also, they don't have a variety of apples- maybe 2-3. All scattered but pretty much the same trees. Waste of time walking to find that the trees in the back are the same ones as the front.
