We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We have gone to many zoos, but this one was by far the most natural. The entire zoo is wooded. There is a lot of walking and some of the trails are dirt and rock, but it's all part of the charm. My one recommendation is BRING BUG SPRAY!! Lots of trees and wetlands equals... More

The zoo is beautiful. There is a lot of walking involved, especially also to get to areas where there aren't any animals (safari-type setting and decor in wild Africa). This part can get boring/tiring for kids or the elderly. However it was still great to just relax and take our time to walk around. It was humid and hot in... More

I can see how they alot of potential for future growth. But I thought the current admission of $50 for my family to visit was a little high based on the current number of exhibits they have.

A nice zoo, but no lions or elephants. There is a lot of walking here. They have a train ride but you don't see many animals from the train ride, and there is a tram ride to the Africa section but again you don't see any animals from the tram, you first have to walk to get to the tram... More

Although this is a smaller zoo (compared to Toledo, Detroit, etc) it is very lovely! The African Savanah is AWESOME and worth admission alone. The zoo is ever changing and will find something new every year! Feeding the Girafes is a big hit with kids of all ages. Their Cafe has good food and reasonable prices. They offer discounts if... Great 'small' zoo with lots to see! We arrived around 12p and there were alot of animals out and about. The giraffe area was totally the best, getting to feed them -they are so close! Lots to walk around and see, if you have some free time it's a nice place to spend a few hours.

Took my grandkids to this zoo and paid a hefty admission price for 5 children under 12 and 3 adults including myself. I thought the zoo was poorly structured and the viewing of the interestin animals such as the big cats Cheetas and grey wolfs and the very few exotic animals they have seemed to be highly sedated. Not impressed... More

We recently visited this zoo with our grandchildren. The weather was extremely warm, but we were able to find many shady spots in the zoo. Be sure to take the tram to Africa where you are treated to great sights of animals as well as artistic touches to help make the experience more authentic. Check out the giraffes at the... More

This zoo is very nice. It is large and the Africa area is very cool. You can feed giraffes up close and there is a very nice petting zoo. There isn't alot of animals but it's a well done zoo. Would high recommend.

Our family has watched this zoo mature along with our family. Th highlight is always feeding the giraffes with the grandchildren. But my personal favorites are the huge tortoises! Events during Halloween and Christmas make this a three season visit! Lots educational opportunities and also just plain fun with a carousel and face painting!
