Hartlines garden center in Baroda, MI - on Cleveland just past Lemon Creek Road - is the absolute BEST place for garden plants, flowers and hanging baskets. This husband and wife team grow beautiful plants in their greenhouse and sell it during the season. Their prices are reasonable but the quality is what brings me back every year!
Don’t wait - GO! They close up when their pride they selection is sold out.

I stopped earlier in June and had planted a flat of Pansies. Those flowers are still going through this heat! Then in July I found some lovely plants for my boxes. They are getting another bloom now, and look so pretty. The staff is always helpful and honest about plant needs, so you can choose some that survive your area’s needs.
Not sure where the review about the wine belongs, as I don’t think they’ve ever offered wines or coders here! It must be for someplace else.
If you need flowers, they have plenty of those during the season!

Staff at another winery suggested this place. They described it as a place that is a bit more experimental than traditional wineries, I would agree with that description. The server almost pushed us into sharing a single tasting, I thought it was odd. The wines are definitely different than what you'd expect, some just weren't very good. We managed to find a wine and a cider that we enjoyed. If you're pressed and need to narrow it down, this is one to skip unless you're looking for uniques offerings. We thought their sister winery (same owner), Gravity, had better offerings, atmosphere and service.
