The hike here is always nice but the water is not always flowing. That’s nature I guess. It is still an accomplishment to hike to the top and when the water is flowing it is really pretty. We have gone a few times with different results and hope to one day see it really flowing.

It's a beautiful waterfall but only after there has been lots of rain, especially when the Spring snow melts. If it hasn't rained you'll probably see nothing but a trickle coming down the cascade. But the cascade is not on Cascade Street (the map is wrong). You have to go up one more street to Cataract Street. Go down just past last house on the left and you enter the park. Cascade is about 1/4 mile further on the left. There's a bridge over the cascade stream. Watch out if you go further on the road past the bridge, there is a drop in the road, probably 4-6 inches.

Wish I didn't write my initial review to let people know about how gteat this place is. People are now bringing dogs that are overly timid and most of there owners that I have encountered are over protective. I no longer bring my dog up to boyton park field to play. We stick to the trails and meet very socialized dogs and easy going owners.

I’m not sure if this place only has water in the spring, but the water was completely dried up over here. There was no waterfall or river or even a creek. Just dried leaves. It may be more scenic in the spring. But in October, this is just a forest with a rocky barely-there trail.

We travelled on vacation to visit my son and saw this place on the web as one of the 15 best things to do in the area. So we travelled over to Cascading Waters in Worcester Mass. What a joke this place is, a total and complete waste of time. The area had received some heavy rains a day or two before our visit and we expected to see water cascading down the falls as shown in these pictures and on the website. We saw nothing at all no water certainly no cascading water !!!!!!! The trails were dangerous to walk on with rocks and trees jutting out everywhere and making walking on the trail very tricky. I would not even waste my time going anywhere near this place even if you don't care about the water cascading. The trails are horrible !
Without being gross that only cascading water we would have seen is if I relieved myself on one of the trails !!!!!

Great place to get away without leaving Worceter. One of my favorite places to bring the dog that is close by. Many trails which lead into Boyton park. Only con: trails tend to hold water/mud longer than usual after rain fall. If your dog doesn't play well with others this is NOT the place for you. Never have been up there and not run into dogs (unleashed.) In the winter micro spikes a must.

In the outskirts of Worcester, this area was a great surprise. Ample parking, with a well marked trail system, this hike very nice. There are loops, and distance can be altered to preference. There are areas of elevation, stepping over/on rocks, and wet but not muddy places. This last part would likely change after some rains. I would recommend for hearty family hikers.

This is the unofficial dog park of Worcester. As a dog owner, I'm fine with that but I'm not sure everyone is. Beyond that I will say that this is a great place for an interesting walk in the woods. I would recommend a map, they're available online. Nice varied terrain.

Nothing more than a trickle but we hiked all the way to the top hoping to see some water falling. it was not worth the trip. I guess we need more rain to see the cascading of it.

A lovely little cataract deep in the woods. Best to go in spring when there is a lot of water or you may be disappointed.

Can you have a picnic basket lunch there

You could, they're are plenty of rocks and open areas to sit on, near the top of the falls it looks like they have a little camp fire area. however the falls are pretty close to a neighborhood, so you might want to walk into the woods a bit to find an open area or large Rock. If you want something a little more private /naturey
