Great view to the islands; beautiful setting and ride out to the lighthouse. These make the trip worthwhile whether you care about lighthouses or not. Like virtually all of Cape Cod's lighthouses, Nobska is not open to the public. Be glad of the view of the lighthouse; the historical information; the view of Martha's Vineyard and Naushon Island and the... More

We stopped by this location on our way out of town and are so glad that we did. Great view of coastline in addition to a great lighthouse photo opportunity. As many have stated, parking is extremely limited.

The light house was easy to find and great for picture taking. The water and flowers across the street provided an awesome view.

Just seeing it, and it's function. Walking around the base....it's a great picture opportunity and the views, the sound...

I would definitely recommend stopping here to see the lighthouse and views but it gets crowded in the summer and there's hardly any parking. When we stopped they were doing landscaping (cutting grass and weed whacking) which I thought was annoying and somewhat inappropriate for late in the morning during peak tourist time.

This is a rather Spartan lighthouse. But has a unique presence. From it you can see Martha's Vineyard across the bay. It is featured in many pictures and I took several myself. Certainly worth a stop.

When visiting the Cape, part of the journey is seeing the Lighthouses along the way. Be sure to make this a part of your sights to see.

Nobska light is a lovely spot in Woods Hole especially if you are a lighthouse lover! A great spot for photos where you can choose either the lighthouse or the seascape or both. Parking can sometimes be problematic but still worth the trip.

Originated in 1828, with a light that could be seen up to 17 miles out to sea, this old lighthouse is situated on a rise above the shoreline at Nobska point, overlooking the sound between the mainland and Martha's Vineyard. Very small parking area (6-8 cars max) and several steps up to the lighthouse so not wheelchair friendly. Beautiful views.
