Fantastic New adventure place
Nov 2019
Tried this for the first time with my sons and grandsons. What hoot! This puts you smack dab in the middle of a video game. You see everything around you and using play guns like in a video game, you go around protecting everyone from Zombies, Robots, etc.. It seems completely real even though you know you are in a bare room which you saw before putting on your headset. One game simulates walking on floating squares and if you are scared of heights, your hands start sweating. Just remind yourself that you know that it’s not real. Everyone we had from ages 14 - 67 enjoyed their time. Can’t wait to do it again.

This place is so awesome!

Four of us went here last week to play the new games and they are so awesome! You can now play multiple games against each other, which was so cool. Well, except for the kill-shot co-worker who killed all of us so many times. The VR is getting so realistic you'll feel like you're 100% in the game.

The staff is great, super helpful and always accommodating to make sure everyone is connected and having the best experience possible.

If you have not been here yet, you need to come as soon as possible. Both gamers and non-gamers will have a good time here. While you're not playing you can watch other matches being played on the field and on the big screens.

I can't wait to go back and see what's next!

Was not sure what to expect. My friend and daughter had the zombie experience to ourselves and it was a blast! The detail is amazing. You feel like you are in the scene and the VR elevators feel like real elevators. You get unlimited ammo, unlimited lives and 4 guns to choose from. You talk with your team on a com system. My teenage daughter loved it and was not scared. The only issue is the price, at $49/each it is pricey for a group or family. But - you've got to try it!

SO FUN!
Dec 2017
I took my son and his friends for his 13th birthday. It's a little pricey when your paying for everyone, but worth every penny. The service was friendly and fantastic. The VR experience was amazing. You have to remind yourself that you aren't going to fall into the ocean. The equipment was clean. I really enjoyed every aspect.

Stop thinking and just go

This place is incredible. In-house designed custom VR rigs that don’t suck, Alienware back-end, and 20k square feet of space to play. Everything looks very high-end and polished, staff is extremely friendly and they are constantly updating software, adding games and making improvements. Just go!

I visited Mindtrek with my company and we all had a blast! Nothing like we have ever done before, it was one of the best outings we’ve done. The staff was amazing as well.

Will be heading back there soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience

We visited Mindtrek as a fun team event. While a few guys on my team were lobbying enthusiastically to try this virtual reality venue, I personally didn't think much of it. That is, until I tried it and oh boy, it was an incredibly fun experience.

We tried the Singularity game; the one where you go on a space station to investigate rouge robots. You and your teammates have to accomplish some tasks to re-take the space station. Along the way, you walk through narrow corridors, overhanging bridge and steep walkways while robots come out to attack everyone at any moment. To achieve the tasks, your team has to come together quickly and decide who will lead, who will attack and who will protect those achieving the tasks. Your team won't do well if everyone is out for personal gain.

At one point, on a steep narrow ramp, we all laughed nervously because despite the fact we were physically in a warehouse on level ground, we really felt the steep walkway and hesitated as we stared at the 100 feet drop below. It's all in our heads but it felt so real. I can honestly say that at the conclusion of the event, we were an even tighter team than we started.

Were there any cons? Well, the cost is high. $50 for a 30 minutes playtime (15 mins instructions). Groupon periodically runs specials; I highly recommend that route.

The head gear and backpack didn't feel heavy at first but near the end of the 30 minutes, my back started hurting. That was partly due to the weight but also because you are walking/ducking/pacing to journey through the space station. It was a real workout which I didn't expect.

All in all, I highly recommend trying this at least once. The game creator is improving and adding new experience over time so you'll have a reason to return. The price point is high. I hope they can lower the cost in the future. If you're looking for a team building exercise, this venue is perfect. They host company events but you have to rent both warehouses (16 people). For company events, you can customize your game combination.

Last but not least, the Mindtrek warehouse is at the back of the complex at 34 Cummings Park Drive. It's a little confusing to find the location but do enter the retail complex and loop to the back. Look for the Mindtrek sign on a building; they are not listed on the strip mall sign out front on the street.

What a great experience!! Very cool
Technology. Great crew, great game. Clean, friendly ,overall, good fun. Well worth the visit. Expensive! If it were less costly, I would return as after as possible. If you go, splurge and sign up for at least two games. It takes the first one to become comfortable, which makes the second that much better. Can’t wait to return.
