Yet another great Trustees property, this one has clear, well marked trails with a nice mixture of meadow, mountain and woodland. Good parking. Not that strenuous. No water or facilities.

Close to town. The relatively flat trail around the meadow has wildflowers, butterflies, and nice views of mountains. Longer trails go off of that through the woods.

I live locally and have hiked this preserve in all seasons. I have done both long and short hikes. For a half-hour in-and-out hike, you can simply walk to the top of the hill to the big open vista and take in a sweeping view of Mount Greylock. Get there late in the day and you can watch the sun... The view overlooking the meadow is expansive and... More

I wanted very much to take my friends there but time/weather didn't permit. However, I have been there before and want to encourage everyone to go and enjoy it. The Trustees of Reservations organization has done a wonderful job preserving this great property.
