Nice park with great trails... However, Weston has marked all of the parking spots for Weston residents only. $30 ticket later turns out they really do want to keep the 'unworthy' away. Nice that they can share when we're all struggling to find things to do with the family.

I would leave a review but as a foul Walthamite, I am not allowed in Cat Rock Park! Honestly, the WHOLE parking lot is only for Weston residents as are the streets leading up to the park. Yes, I know it's weekends only but still.

This is a great place to hike. The trails are clearly marked and there is something for everyone. The problem is that Weston has decided to make it resident parking only on weekends. Boo.

It does appear, however, that the Town of Weston this year is trying to discourage its use. For example, non-residents are now not permitted to use the parking lot on weekends, Second, the Town has stopped mowing the fields and meadows in the park, making it more difficult to walk around. These unmoved areas are prime breeding grounds for ticks, and poison ivy thrives there to. The Town has also posted new warning signs about possible bacteria in the pond, warning that it could be hazardous to humans and dogs Obviously, humans are not going to be swimming or drinking from the pond; it’s directed at the retrievers who love retrieving sticks and tennis balls. Too bad, the second richest Town in MA has decided not to share this resource with some of its neighboring tows’ residents…
