Great for kids

I find this place too congested and small to really enjoy. Especially when it is busy and also tough to get around when there are carriages and little kids running around. Overall nice for the kids for a short while though.

Great staff and awesome atmosphere. My 4-year old had a fun time looking at colorful and beautiful butterflies. The exhibits outside the butterfly room were very educational as well. I just wish it was a bigger place.

We went here with my 3 and 4 year old granddaughters. There are lots of butterflies, within easy view of even the smallest. It was not too crowded either. There is a bit of gentleness required so not the best place for getting out a lot of unspent energy.

The Butterfly Place is unique in that it has both tropical and New England butterfly species. I believe they said there were 57 the day we visited. In any event there are a lot of butterflies. The butterflies fly about in a large, enclosed area populated with flowers, plants, quail and Koi. It is tranquil and educational. There is a... More

Love the butterfly place. Many times of beautiful butterflies. The attraction itself is not big so it did not take a long time to look around. Free parking. You can spend about 2-3 hours. Bring cash.

This is such an amazing place, with a very knowledgeable staff! The butterflies are in various stages of their development, and if you are a butterfly lover like I am, it was a thrill to see the many chrysalis types. The large blue Morpho butterflies were breathtaking! Butterflies landed on my granddaughters hand (1 year old) and she just laughed... More

There is nothing more magical for young and old alike than to have a beautiful butterfly sit on your shoulder. It is amazing to be in the garden and experience this breathtaking moment.

Very educational with lots of different butterflies fluttering around. It makes a change from other places that only seem to have 2 or 3 species. There were many different species on view here. I spent about an hour and a half inside taking photos and saw a butterfly I hadn’t seen up till then. Yes you can certainly spent a... More

I was amazed at how many different types of butterflies they had and especially ones I had never seen. I recommend going on sunny days when it is a bit warm as the butterflies are more active. The atrium is small but sufficient. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff was very eager to educate the visitors on... More
